New W206 Coming out

The base car is reputed to start at $45K, which I relate to my well-equipped 2014's sticker of $48k. If I planned to spend $45 - 50K on my next car, I think I'd much rather have a nice, low-miles E or S-class than a four-cylinder W206.
It's been discussed here before, but I really feel no motivation to go look at a new W205 or now, a W206.
The new C-Class is powered by the well-known four-cylinder engines, including the new 2 liter clean diesel OM 654 launched last year on the E-Class. A completely new generation of six-cylinder engines diesel and petrol will be available. The 6 inline 3 liter diesel was already presented last month on the S-Class facelift and will deliver 286 HP (one turbo) and 340 HP (two turbo) while the 6 inline 3 liter petrol will deliver more than 400 HP.

And wait for the engine to blow, not to mention electronic gremlins and pay stupid Italian sports car prices to repair? No thanks. You can keep your Mazda 5 looking carbon fiber wicker basket. If you own one, sell before warranty is up...

The car is definitely on the way... Still lot of rumors going around.
The new CLA45s/ A45s are quick if they can get a 2 liter turbo to produce 400HP and jump 0-100 in 3.9 secs - I'm keen to see what they plan to produce for the new C63s.
Let's wait and see.
The inline-6 engine mated with the 48V mild-hybrid and Electric compressor would most likely be called the C53 and might replace the C43. We might have to wait and see if Merc continues to retain the V8 bi-turbo in the C63 variants. The C63 variants could also get the mild-hybrid/electric-compressor treatment.

This is why I bought my C63 S last year. I wanted to own a high performance V8, so that when I am old, I can bore everyone with my stories.
I am having to look ahead, to plan which car I buy to keep as my weekend car, when we here, are all driving electric autonomous boxes day to day.
