I did not see a mention of the weight of the CLE 53. Was interested to see that.
The engine in the Cle 53 has been updated to the M256M producing 443 hp and 413 ftlb , updated cylinder linings, bigger turbo. It also has a 12 second overboost adding 21 hp and upto about 440 ftlb. I think not hand building it saved cost. The 9g tct has been tuned by Amg for faster shifting and there is an optional race mode. I drove one with race mode and it pops. I also drove the 2024 c43 with the Mct. It can be clunky in normal city driving . It did not seem to sync well with the mild hybrid motor when coming to a stop. the cle 53 base msrp at $72500. Though expensive it is considerably cheaper than the other vehicles in its class, the c63s, bmw m4, bmw m4 comp, Audi rs5, cadillac ct4 and ct5. Porsche
The cle 53 will probably do 0-60 in 3.9 seconds using race start. For most ordinary drivers, go faster is of no benefit.
