507 or wait for W205 AMG
so its been confirmed new amg engines will go the way of turbo charging? the new M3/M4 is a step back IMO in the engine department, sounds terrible.

507 got the german tank look, w205 look a sissymobile drive for a coffee, the interior is miles better I will give it that. Not going to get the new one, still not sure about the 507. Which part of canada are you from?

Get the 507. It's got most of the kinks worked out already and when the new 205 hits the market as a first year model, I'm sure they'll find something wrong with it.

My brother has a new 507 sedan, I can say that is one heck of a car, it is fast, sounds incredible and the new W205 will not sound anything like this car. Given the choice, I would get a 507 no questions asked. This is the last car produced by MB with that legendary powerplant, no matter how updated or nice the interior is on the new W205, it will NOT replace the 507 in terms of how the car makes you feel....get the 507, you will regret that you didnt!

I have a feeling the W205 is going to put down some incredible numbers. Not to mention that its interior will be light years ahead of the W204's.
Patience is usually rewarded.

I'm thinking the suspension is further improved from the current gen and the rear track *should* be wider with more importantly, wider rear tires to better put down the power. Plus, the 5.5 V8 are already proven to be great at producing quite a bit more power without swapping out internals, and the 4.0L should be as stout as its big brother.

Get a 507. If you're not perfectly happy with it, get the w205 in a couple years once any bugs are worked out. I'm sure the 507 will keep you happy enough though.

I would wait. No sense in buying the outgoing model when you're only a handful of months away from a completely new car. Especially given how these cars depreciate, I wouldn't touch a new 507.
Those that have them will certainly enjoy them, amazing cars, but on a blank slate, I would wait.

Recently sold my 2008CLK63 Cab to get my 2014 E63 S.
Though the E63 S is insane power-wise, just drove the CLK63 again yesterday at it was super fast in a different, more usable way. Instant throttle response and totally enjoyable. In a perfect world, I'd have kept both of them.
Basically, what I am alluding to is to get the 507. You will not be disappointed. People talk of the new C as having a great interior. It's nice, but I honestly like the 204 much better. It really is the perfect, as in not too techy...and that is what high performance driving and cars are all about. It's definitely an analog experience, not a "digital" one. Long live the 156 engine!

Yes exactly, they are pretty scarce at the moment as well. I'm closing a deal on one soon myself, I think this car will be a keeper since the way the auto industry is moving towards better fuel economy with using smaller displacements and forced induction. It's going to be nice owning a big gas guzzling motor with that mean sound haha.

W205, now the only trouble I'd be having(and am currently contemplating) is if I should wait for the coupe. The S Class Coupe is by far one of the best designs Mercedes has pulled off, and like the C Class, my hunch is the Coupe will look similar to it's bigger brother.
