Why you mad?
Yup, 8 million Mustangs sold...must be a lot of idiots including your buddy Jay Leno. Car did very well with solid rear axle, just ask guys like Parnelli Jones. Dan Gurney. Carroll Shelby. Jack Roush. Steve Saleen. Wally Dallenbach. Scott Pruett.
Depends on the driver, but of course any ogre like yourself can still wipe out in a IRS Corvette anyways.
Dude you bring nothing to this forum.

I've done a mustang...don't think I could do it again. For what they cost, and the performance you get from them, they are amazing. There are just so many of the bloody things. I traded in my '05 mustang for an '06 corvette and that was one of the best decisions of my life. If I wanted a 2-door sports car, I'd buy the new Corvette Stingray. However, at this time in my life, a 2 door isn't feasible so I went with the 507.
Now about the main point of this thread; my feelings on the w205:
1. I hate the tail-lights.
2. I would love an AWD as an option, because I would feel more comfortable with my wife driving it.
3. If it gets AWD, I wouldn't be surprised if it came in a few years with the mid-cycle refresh, which may include DCT.
4. Mixed feelings on the interior...coming to terms with the iPad-esque screen.
5. Heads Up Display FTW. Loved it in my 'Vette, loved it in my Buick, hate looking through the wheel on the 507! I miss reading my lateral-G on the HUD.
6. I'm not a massive fan of the body styling, but it's better looking to me than the CTS.
7. Forced induction would be nice to have if I ever find myself working in Colorado.
Overall, it is currently at the top of my list as a replacement to the 507 in 5-7 years.

Obviously we cant see the whole car, but I think if you look at the CLA and the E and the new S its pretty easy to tell where its headed. Basically. And like it or not, it will grow on you with increased exposure (there are a lot of jokes that could be used here - all of which will get me in trouble).
What pleases me here though is that it doesnt seem to have bulked up size wise like usually happens. MB seems to know the sizes it wants and which family of cars fills that need, and then they leave it alone. But have you seen a 3 or 4 series lately? They are the size the 5 series used to be, and the 5 series is the size the 7 was back in the day. Bulking up. I get that cars did it with the addition of all the safety stuff, but that doesnt mean they need to keep doing it. The C class is about right sized in my book for my needs, and I hope it stays that way. Big enough for 4, 5 in a pinch, small enough to be sporty. Perfect.

From BMW's website:
7 series SWB - Length 199.8, Height 58.3, and Width 74.9 (84 with side mirrors)
5 series - Length 193.1, Height 57.6, and Width 73.2 (82.4 with side mirrors)
BUT, IMO current generation's 5 series is a miss whereas the 7 series is one of the best BMWs.

Good points all around. My neighbors drive BMWs; a 7 series and his wife drives a 5 series and parked next to each other, you can really see that the 5 series is just as big as the 7 series, the only actual noticeable difference in size is the length.
