Since the W205 non AMGs didn't get a dual clutch, there's a 0% chance that the new C63 gets a dual clutch.
Regardless, drive the new C400 and check out the transmission. It's much faster than the W204's, so expect the MCT version to finally be close to a MCT in responsiveness.

I've also read the more recent reports of a "Dual Clutch" rather than MCT being part of the mechanical drivetrain of the new C63.
Either way I just hope MB/AMG get it right and it's much better than any previous/current transmissions used, this is one area that's really lacking compared to the competition if they get right on the new C63 then this car's going to be a real sensation

It will be lights out for the M3 if all of this is true:
"This output will likely be reserved for a new C63 AMG S model, with the stock C63 AMG previously reported to be delivering about 470 hp. By comparison, the 2015 BMW M3 is rated at just 425 hp while the 2015 Lexus RC F makes do with 467 hp."
" In addition to class-leading output, the new C63 AMG is also promised to have the best fuel economy in the segment. Mercedes says the engine will be good for 28.6 mpg on the European combined cycle, although it should be noted that EPA-rated fuel economy tends to be lower than the European figures."
"Rear-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission are expected to be standard across the new C63 AMG range."
I also heard the pricing will be similar to the M3 if not lower.
Lights out.

All reports so far have indicated that we will see an updated MCT in the C63.
However, I don't see why they wouldn't just use the same DCT that they are using in the AMG GT.
Same engine why not same transmission. That would seem like less engineering as well as a more cost effective implementation.

The M177 will eventually spread throughout the AMG line, and I imagine they will all use the same transmission. With the new 9-speed introduced in the CLS550, chances are the C63 will end up getting that (or eventually in a LCI).
Of course a DCT would be first choice, but if Mercedes can update their MCT to make it as responsive and quick in manual mode as a modern ZF 8-speed for instance, I'd be satisfied.

The AMG GT's dual clutch transmission is in a rear transaxle setup, so it wouldn't be that easy. I also recall hearing it's the same box used in certain model Ferrari's, so it can't be cheap.
