I'm told that all Edition 1s in the US will be identical apart from the colour. No extra options allowed apart from what's mentioned in the US ordering guide (Page 36/78).

For Canada I'm sure. So it'd be weird if the U.S didn't allow you to get the Heads up Display or the Command Online Navigation. (It wouldn't make sense for MB to decrease their profits by not permitting people to get the Command online navigation etc). Hopefully JPMBenz will be able to post a reply on this thread to answer your question since he works at a MB dealership
Unless one has to be "first on the block" to have the AMG, I think it is kind of sad to know that someone can only have a "new" car for half a year instead of a full one.
I am leasing the car so to me it doesn't matter. Plus I do not have to pay the MY16 Price Increase.

Correct, in the US the E1 cars cannot be changed. This is the first time that a exterior color can be selected. It is usually one color and that's that. Each dealer will get one E1 and we, the dealership, will choose the color. If you are purchasing the E1 then you can choose the color. We cannot get Magno (Matte) in the US since the US Factory does not have the paint setup for it.

Edit- After checking out the U.S order guide you're right. Hopefully it's just a error in the order guide that needs to be fixed otherwise that'd be a huge stupid mistake on Mb's end in my opinion. Hopefully JPMBenz can provide some added info on this for U.S customers.
Features/technical details list for the car that I ordered. Just received this info from my dealership recently. Must say that I personally love all the features which will be coming with my car, and each time I get more info on it I become even more excited! Also theres one piece of incorrect info on the features list for my car, and that's the Hardon karmon info. I'll instead be getting the Burmester sound system since it comes with the Premium Package.
