Do you mind sharing with us whether you are based in the US or not? I'm still on the fence about which car to get. Edition 1 is probably out given that I cannot add options (still hoping MBUSA change their mind).

Just heard there's a facelift S7 out later in the year with 450hp. But not sure if I could look at that fugly Audi steering everyday (IMHO of course).

He's from Canada. Also a MB representative replied to a question on why you can add options to the Canadian version of the Edition 1 and not to that U.S version. Here's his reply
"mainly because Canada will be only ordering a handful of these (not like USA that is taking 380 units) and they are not treating it as 'fixed livery' edition...so they can manage each car indivually

Technically we could have opted for the same open-ordering but:
- 1st - we had to start booking these vehicles into production far before we even announced the new C63 publically, so this means that some the cars would be frozen in build before we even announced it...so not all cars would be configurable
- 2nd - then you would have a myriad of Edition 1 vehicles with wildly different specifications, which makes it difficult for dealers to manage trades as you would have to fine-tooth-comb check each car to see its spec to match the customer's specific requests

We tried to pick the best balance of equipment for the Edition while managing the final MSRP..."

Lucky Canadians

The only thing that vaguely makes sense in their response is the first point. Nevertheless, they're delivering Ed1 cars till July... I wish they would let some goons option them out.

Better still, just offer the Ed1 highlights as an option like they do in Canada. Then, its just a regular build with the various red highlights
