Expected Maintenance/Consumables Cost?
Currently in the market for a C63S but I've never owned a Mercedes or a V8 and have no idea what maintenance and consumables are like.
I currently have a B8.5 S4 which is pretty cheap to run, all things considered, I can get 22-24mpg, oil change every 5k, new tires (Michelin PSS) every 20k, and the only real major maintenance items in the short term are the DSG flush every 35k miles and spark plugs at 55k miles.
I know the M177 is new, but past C63 owners, as I spreadsheet this out, what should I expect to budget for maintenance and consumables?

C63-S is going to be the cheapest to maintain 500+ hp/trq car on the planet.
Currently I have a B8.5 S4 with about 6500 miles on it and the tires look brand new (I drive it like I stole it), on the W204 C63 Coupe I went through the first set of rear tires in about 4500 miles (included burnouts
), and approaching 10,000 miles and I can tell you that my rear tires need to be changed SOON.I'm impressed by your S4 gas mileage as mine is just as bad on gas as the C63 although the C63 has a bigger tank
and doesn't need as much refueling. Noticed the number of the 'Big Grin' smiley next to C63?

To reply to OP's question you'll have the usual services (oil/filters/transflush/LSD etc..). On the actual W204 C63 most of them are DIY-able if you are mechanically inclined. So you could save money on labor.
But basically simple oil change at the dealership is roughly $180. The most expensive service (A I think) is close to $500. Then you have trans flush ( I don't recall that one) but not cheap. LSD oil service as well the first 1k miles.
Bottom line don't buy an AMG if you cannot afford the maintenance.

... otherwise what's the point hey! I do cling to the hope that in a couple of years I may be able to track it.
I certainly would've considered C450 if C63 was outside my price range. Not to go off topic in this thread, but I do not think it is a poser mobile. To each his own.
Do you know if the car will come with summer tires or all-seasons?

How long do the fronts last? On my c350 they lasted 50000 miles which amazed me.

Anybody ever look into having the camber dialed back on their w204? I would think that camber could be adjusted to increase tire life and still provide a high-performance ride.
It has nothing to do with $$$$. I just don't want to have to deal with getting new tires every 5k miles.

Hopefully the W205 will come with that capability.
Have you heard of the Hellcat? 707 factory horsepower for around 60k. The next car that has 700hp from the factory is upwards of 200k. Yes I know its not as refined as the benz but you were talking about value vs driving pleasure vs cost of ownership. You can beat the domestics in that.

I've driven the new MT Z06 and it sure was interesting, however I reserve my judgment until I drive the AT Z06. 2016 GT350 sounds interesting but I don't even think it's out to be driven however knowing Ford and with my past experiences I'm not holding my breath.
Hellcats are jokes, I haven't driven one and don't think they're anything I would value.
IMO the new C63-S is the best value for a 500+ hp/trq car, with base price of $80K and Mercedes bulletproofness it's very hard to beat.
"C63-S is going to be the best Value, and Cheapest to maintain 500+ hp/trq car on the planet that's worth driving IMO."
Well said.

2 Year/20,000 Miles = $1,300
3 Year/30,000 Miles = $1,800
4 Year/40,000 Miles = $2,375
This cannot be residualized into the lease like on a normal C Class. This means you are paying for 100% of it divided by your monthly term. For example $1,800 divided by 36 Months $50 per month plus tax.

I got 26,000 miles out of Conti Potenza S001 RFT's on my 335i which are supposed to be crap. I have Pirelli PZeros now & will advise on these. Good non RFT's should be able to go 20,000 easy or you need to find a new brand. I could see lower center gravity cars like Corvettes, Porches going through tires faster but not C63. Maybe I'm wrong?
