Did any owner here consider Porsche before buying Merc?
Have a 997 turbo and love it. My c63s ed1 coupe is fantastic as well. Two totally different cars. My Porsche makes 720awhp so not a good comparison in power department.

You got that right. The 911 has a ton of carbon and alcantara but doesn't compare to the interior of this edition 1. Was actually the primary selling point along with the motor. I do wish the ed1 had an alcantara headliner like my 911. Would really complete an otherwise stellar interior in my opinion.
Just picked up in Sindelfingen. If someone can point me to a source that shows how to remove those ugly bumperettes, I'd really appreciate it. I want to swap my rear plates for the long one. Even keeping it under 4500 rpms, it still drives wicked fast for me. It's a major upgrade from a 97 Merc C180. This car attracts a lot of attention here in Stuttgart (I got a "thumbs up" from a guy driving a Maserati today).
