Question Actual pricing

I didn't see much actual price/discount discussion here, does it mean it doesn't exist on the AMG models? I did see in the non-amg section, people did discuss about getting below MSRP. Did anyone pay below MSRP on their C63(s)? PM me if you don't want to discussed it publicly.

What strategy did you use, what kind of discount did you get?

I am in Norcal, but willing to travel a bit (so cal?) to get the best deal. Looking for a MY 2016 (since its so close?)

Don't expect any discounts for MY2015 and the MY2016 until the demand has eased.
This might in my opinion have been part of Mercedes's strategy.
The original statement from MBUSA was that the new C63 was coming to your local MB dealership in March of 2015. The earliest my Dealer would be able to get me one would not be until late June or July and I have been trying to order one since Oct of 2014. Some of the lucky ones in the US should be getting their's in the next week or so. In my opinion their Mercedes Dealerships are just plain better informed and have more desire to sell cars.
In the mean time Mercedes lifted the review ban of their new C63, C63s introduction in Portugal. I was completely hooked after watching these reviews and because of AMG's brilliant work so are many others.

Forgive my but for some of us this has been a frustrating process and am currently waiting for the MY2016.

You wot see discounts on these cars as quickly as the C-class.
First of all its an AMG. Some people still aren't getting discounts on CLA 45 AMGs. Second the demand for the cars is pretty high and their aren't that many cars coming from here to September. Some people that ordered the car even before it came out aren't getting it till June/July. I had my deposit down last July so I'm probably getting mine in less than 2 weeks. Im sure well see discounts in 6+ months but for now youre probably going to see market adjustments lol

I have to say, the C63s, after all the frills is in the Tesla P85D range. And I have to say, Tesla P85D is a very attractive car for what it offers at 85k.

Remind me again, why are we buying the C63s again?

Totally different type of car... I mean if I wanted a luxury car id definitely get an S class. Tesla is a great car but besides insane mode to me there is nothing great about it. If you compare it to an S class I think the S class is a better car. I could also get a E class, 5 series, 7 series, and a whole bunch of other cars. Thats not what I'm looking for in a car though. At the end of the day if youre comparing it to a Tesla I don't think this is the right car for you lol

Funny thing is that I know it'll sound better than the Tesla. But seriously it's two different cars, I like the Tesla, but not as my weekend car.

If you are passionate about the sound and soul of an AMG V8 you would never put a Tesla on your shortlist. I have a friend who drives a Leaf and desperately wants a Tesla but he has no desire for the sound of a powerful V8.
I will not take away from the fact that the Tesla looks good and is practical but it is just not for me.

How do you figure the P85D comes in at $85k?? A fully optioned out P85D will set you back $125k+, but it is INSANE!

At the end of the day, the price of the car matters but if you can afford anything in this price range -- just get what makes you happy. As I've said before, if I exit my car and never turn around to smile at it as I walk away, perhaps I have the wrong car. If the Tesla gives you that feeling of dating a sexy girl, get it. For me, the total package is in the C63 S.....for now.

In the UK, I was able to negotiate £5,000 off list, so around 7%. It was hard work but I was pleased they even budged a bit.

I can't careless for all the options on the tesla P85D. I want nice interior, performance, and 4 doors on wheels. the base model gets me all that, for $85k (all incentives).

I went to look at one at their store, and the quality of the interior is not what I expected for an $85k car. Yes, it has a big screen, but once you get past that, and really start to look, you'll see that I mean.

The base model doesn't have that great of seats, so you're probably wanting the seat upgrade. Additionally, the 10k incentive is only in 5 states, so most of us are probably left out on that one. This puts it at about $97.5k with no options (which most people want some). This is one of the reasons why we'd go for a C63.

I m not expecting price discounts anytime soon, they're amg and its a new model the price isn't going to get discounted for a while. What I am interested in is realistic lease rates coming out

Did you sit in a Tesla before? The interior is not that great.

Tesla is lame. did you see this: http://my.teslamotors.com/models/design

They put the price in there, but that includes 10k in gas savings. Come on. I'll advertise my car and say my gas savings is 10k over 5 years if I drive it 100 miles a year compared to normal. Lame marketing.

Yeah, I built one a while back when my wife and I thought we were going solar for our home. Its just the two of us so we decided against it. If we had gone solar (i.e. free charge for the car), I might have considered the Tesla. I think Tesla also dollarized the time saved by not going to the pump and subtracted that from the overall cost. Its a clever but bit deceptive way of marketing. I guess in all fairness, they do put it right out there so you can see it.

Yeah I agree they are manipulating it a bit. Not all people read the small print and get hooked that way.
