Again? I was very close to giving up my MY15 for one of the first MY16 with black wheels. It appears these wheels will not be available until late fall.

Yeah not only was the delay until October, but my estimated build date was going to be 10/30. I didn't feel like waiting until November, so I went for the twin 5-spoke wheels instead, which I think are also great-looking wheels, even if the style is a bit common among Mercedes cars.

My advice if you must have black wheels is to **** or get off the pot - the longer you wait to order, the longer the wait is going to be unless there's an increase in manufacturing capacity or reduction in demand for them. Either that or plan to go aftermarket.

Hey Bud. The original range was 1st decade in August for build date. Then my start date was bumped back to 2nd decade in August because of the black wheels. Since it was only a 10 day difference it was a no brainier to wait for the black wheels. I'm really glad I made my down payment when I did! I'm still on the fence on the 997 drivers package and the carbon spoiler. Decisions decisions.

Wow. So is it even smart to pick up a 2015 in June/July if the MY2016s are delivered in August?

Joel, do you expect to receive your car at the end of August?

According to JP it will be most likely be end of August or the first week in September. So I keep telling myself first week in September.

I originally was in the camp that a 2016 sounds better a model year newer etc etc. but bottom line the 2016 is $800 more for the same exact car! I would personally would put that 800 towards a free carbon fiber spoiler.

You definitely got in on the black wheels party before I did, then. We'll see how long I'm happy with the twin 5-spoke wheels. I'm sure I can get the hookup with Supreme Power & KlassenID when the time comes - they're both about 40 minutes from me, and KlassenID did the R&D on my S6 to get the dimensions for the M52R forged wheel.

997 Drivers Package FTW, my friend! You're about to talk me into the carbon spoiler too.

Yeah, KlassenID appears to be the real deal. They also produce some really cool videos. Lovin these wheels on a Polar White C63S.

Anyone have a price on those Klassen wheels? Haven't looked into them that hard but noticed they never show a price. Is the reason that obvious???

I don't believe they sell direct - they have a dealer page on their site, though. If you call one of them, they should be able to give you a price. I got mine from Supreme Power in Placentia.

We have another video request. Any way you can hook us up JP? How large is the file? You could try and email it to me if youtube isn't an option.

Thanks

You don't see a lot of lunar blue Mercs out there. Nice vid JP, it really shows the different colors from different angles.

I hear you on the brilliant blue! That was my initial choice too. Honestly now I'm not sure which I prefer. But either way I'm going to be loving it!

Lunar Blue looks fantastic.

Anyone who is looking for KlassenID pricing please feel free to give us a all. They have the C63 for W205 down. In fact they may have the only car on the board right now with aftermarket forged wheels.

Happy to help!
