California Owners... Burger Tuning
Hey Everyone,
Has anyone in California taken delivery of their C63?
I had exchanged a few emails with the guys at Burger tuning asking if they were planning making a tune for the C63. They needed a customer vehicle to do this. Is anyone interested?
A friend of mine is running their tunes on his BMW F80 and has had great success... Easy to change maps and super reliable.
Not to mention their tunes should be half the price of Renntech, Eurocharged, etc. Take a look at the burger tuning website.

Terry is big in the BMW scene with all of the N54 builds etc. I suppose it couldnt hurt seeing what he could do with it.
But Weistec, OETuning and Renntech have all had their hands on the M177 and not to mention what they have been able to do with the M157.
I guess its worth a shot.

My personal advice would be to avoid Burger Tuning like the plague.
As a former longtime BMW owner, I have some stories. If anyone is interested, they can PM me. It's not my place to air the specifics on here.
At the same time, I feel I have a duty to throw out the general warning for the sake of the members in/of this community. There are several reasons why he was banned from Bimmerpost.

I've had Burger Tuning in my 335i and it was great. I had it then switched to Vishnu and a week later bought JB again.
Terry is a pretty great guy. He installed my second JB. There customer service was great too. That's why it's the most popular tuner for BMW. They come at a great price compared to everything else and their customer service was great.

I've had 4 cars tuned by Terry and a couple of friends that had theirs done. I've never had a problem and he's the most stand up and professional person I've dealt with in the industry. If I had a C63S I would have already dropped it off for him to work his magic.

he provided me a Stage 1 beta piggy back back in Dec 2014 for my C400. Takes about 5 connections on the harness and it will add 3 lbs of boost on Map 1.
Adding 4 gallons of E85.. boost increases to about 5 lbs over stock using Map 2.
All he will need to know where you 5 connectors are located under the hood, so he can make the harness longer or shorter.
Works on the MB's Inline 4, Diesel and now V6TT. This no different then Kbox and other piggy backs at a fraction of cost.
On the M3 S55 engine.... he uses a full version of the piggy back and its putting down serious power with just tune and E85. Traps over 125 and low 11's.

So who is taking their car down to Terry??? If I lived anywhere close, I would have dropped my car off already!
I think Terry would be our fastest option to get a plug and play OBII. Waiting for Eurocharged and Renntech may take a while and I would prefer not to have to send my ECU in.
My friend is running the JB4 on his M3, easy to uninstall and take to the dealer for warranty work.
