Excessive wind noise?

I have a MY16 C63S on order in Palladium Silver with almost all the options except for Pano. The build date looks to be the third decade in August.
My concern now is that there are pages of posts on the W205 forum complaining about excessive and loud wind noise at 70mph or above. One person stated that he measured 85db at the driver window. Seals have been replaced according to some with no fix. Does anyone with a C63S have this kind of an issue? Thanks for your responses.

Nope! I listen to either the exhaust with throttle blipping, EDM or Hip-Hop, or everything else that keeps going with the noise.

I took a C63S ED1 out for a spin and I heard nothing out of the ordinary (the engine notes were superb).

I had annoying whistling and buzzing wind noise in my M4 at 70+ MPH. Local dealer struggled with it repeatedly. They definitely heard it and admitted it was a problem. However, they also said they had done everything possible and could do no more. The problem was reduced but never solved.

That was one of several comfort issues that drove me to trade the M4 for the C63S. I am happy to report that the C63S has demonstrated no similar problem.

I just finished a 700 mile road trip with an average speed of around 75 MPH and I did not notice anything excessive when it came to wind noise. The US concrete highways made way more tire to road noise then the wind.

I did notice on a certain stretch of a very grainy concrete paved highway I was getting an annoying clunking sound from the passenger side door somewhere. It is like there was something rolling in the door compartment. It comes and goes now that I am back in Canada on the smoother asphalt paved roads.

Apart from the EDM part, what JP said.

I've put that down to the passenger seat belt clip knocking on the pillar or side of my performance seats. Amazing the clip doesn't sit higher in @clear air space@.

Dealer changed my second C300 with front driver and passenger acoustic glass. First car returned to Vance for numerous build issues. It took them over a month to get glass, but installed in 30 minutes and put in a new weatherstrip. Genuine Mercedes part and glass. It makes a large difference. It will require perseverance, aka, a fight on your part, but it is orderable from a US dealer from Mercedes in Germany. It's not made in USA. I disclose my friend works at dealer and she fought on my behalf with Mercedes who say 'the noise is part of the design'. If so, why is side acoustic glass an option outside U.S., and in all early cars tested for all the reviews?? Hmmmmm.

The wind noise alone kept me from buying a C class. All the cars on the dealer lot had the wind leak noise. I did short term lease with option to buy later of course. Great interior though and ride, everything feels and looks luxurious. Miles ahead of the competition. I got the sport pkg and airmatic. Quiet in road noise, probably helped some by air suspension which both handles and rides well. Might buy it if they fix some build problems.

I wish that was true, it would have been easy to fix but I had a passenger in that seat all the time during my trip. Sadly she did not hear a thing or understand what I was talking about.

What is the SPC code for the acoustic glass? I can see this on the configurator in Germany, but not in the US.

The SPC (839 - Laminated Acoustic Glass, Front & Rear Doors $300 ) option just became available on the 2015 E63. This is only vehicle in the entire US that has this option.

It reduces noise by 30% from the outside. It is mainly orderable for clients who don't want to hear the exhaust; not because of wind noise.

Interesting, I'll have to check and see what the availability of this option on the 205 series is here in Australia, if so it's something I'd definitely be interested in
