Just wait until you realize the depreciation hit AMGs take. That break in period will hurt a lot less.

Everyone took it so seriously haha. I have a c63 myself so I feel the pain. And mine is some old dated 2013 piece of crap so I'm totally screwed.

 

I would be more than thrilled to feel this pain !!

 

For me I worry about other road users.
They turn they head so much looking at the car I'm afraid they gonna hit into something upfront lol.

I had a guy in his VW yesterday, passed my car in another lane in a traffic crawl(his lane was all clear), suddenly stopped with no traffic in hos lane, and then I saw him turning his head looking at my car, AND THEN he reversed his car alongside mine, stared, AND THEN he backed up further to look at the rear badge I guess!!Must have hurt his neck!

Is 1000 miles the official AMG guideline for a proper break/run-in period? I ask because different manufacturers provide different numbers with some even saying there is no need.

For example for a Porsche it is stated as 3000km in the manual, slightly less than 2000 miles.

Of course non of this really matters if you don't intend to keep your car for more than a few years since it will be someone else's problem down the road.
