Matte finish

My local dealer Tells me that matte (magno?) finishes are currently not available on new order C63s. Is this true, and if so, might they be offering them in the future?

Is it worth looking into a matte "wrap", or better to wait until matte finish is offered from factory?

I'm not sure if a matte finish will be offered for the c63. Matte paints are either offered for ED1 or other special editions like Black series. Be aware that matte finishes are very difficult to maintain.
Look into a matte wrap. I believe there are plenty of dealers in south California.

I wouldn't say they are difficult to maintain. I have matte Alanite on my CLS63 and it has pro's and con's. The look is unbeatable in my opinion. You don't have to wax it, which is nice. You do need to use special matte car wash and detailer that does not have any shine compounds in it. Also, if you get a scratch, you will most likely have to repaint the entire panel because it's impossible to blend.

Matte wrap is a great option because it is removable and when removed, you have brand new paint underneath!

No doubt and I agree. The matte grey was my first choice then brilliant blue and I ended up with Polar white for my MY2016 because the first 2 are not available in the US.

How about some pics of your CLS63?

I wanted that color as well I found the matte match bought the car and wrapped it.I have 4 personal cars 3 are wrapped the C63s is my daily .The only problem with the factory painted matte, its impossible to match if there is damage,The only problem with wrap is quality of work and if not garaged or covered at night.

I've posted some teaser pics of my build in the W218 forums. Here's the link. It's in the process of getting more work done before the full unveil!

I have a matte finish on my DD e63 wagon and drive it thru rain, sleet and snow....no issues and has held up great (over a year).
