Guys im sorry if this is a stupid question, but here it goes

Before I buy a car i visualise how i can mod it. I just sold a 991 turbo S that had full catback exhaust on it and x-pipe from fabspeed, it started to turn my white rear bumper brown around the exhaust tips. Now my question is, the exhaust pipes (the real ones) are not accurately aimed out the back, they are just left there behind the bumper. Wouldn't backfire set the bumper alit from the inside ?

Valid question. But I believe it's encased somewhat and recessed. You would have to do something like this guy.

precisely, even then, the fake exhaust tips look like they have burnt a little

The opnly thing that sucks about adding DP is the fact that we have to drop the engine.

I can vouch for Eurocharged. Jerry runs a no-nonsense operation. His cousin Phil handles the goings-on in the office/shipping and John, who is head/lead tech and runs the garage, has 30+yrs experience and are all a pleasure to work with. All of them, at one time or another, have gone out of their way to help with my various cars/problems/installs.

I have no financial connection to them. Just always like to give them positive feedback. I haven't seen or heard much info on the M177 tune, but have no doubt that it will be solid and produce the gains as to what EC claims. I have used them for 5 years on 3 different cars.

I cannot wait to see what numbers you guys start putting down!!!!!

PS- I HIGHLY recommend that you get your headers ceramic coated, if you choose to go this route. Not sure if some of you are just getting headers, just looking for a louder exhaust so only doing straight/x-pipes, or if you guys are doing headers and pipes?

I thought it was only the tranny. Wow that's a lot of extra $$$$ just for downpipes. Since they have to take the engine out to get to the ECU then you might as well do both.

I saw the start of a project C63 and the downpipes will be a complete disaster to install. They dropped the tranny and still there was not enough room to feed the cats and pipes back down through the engine bay. You'll have to cut the stock cat or drop the motor. Either way I can see labor alone costing $2k if you go the engine route...

I may just stick with buying a E63.
