Just spend the last hour on Tire Rack comparing every tire and the difference in width between the 275 and 265 is just about nothing on the AMG wheels, except the price I guess.
285's though would make a big difference. I will have to wait and see who decides to try 285's first and go from there.
I can't seem to find what the wheel width's are. I am assuming 8.5 and 9.5

Exactly! There is barely a diff between 265 and 275.

I think the best bet for factory rims are 255/35 and 285/30.

ETA the new coupe spy thread is spotted with ^ those ^ same size Conti Sport contacts

So is this becasue you went 20 inch rims?

Would 19 inch rims with 10 inch wide fit 285s?

Yes But you have to worry about the highth of the tire. Scroll down on specs to compare to OEM.

The 285's do fit no problem and the tires grab the ground hard, traction feels much more stable than 265 , there is no rub even with the 12MM difference

That makes sense there is more traction. Glad to know we can run a 285 at the rear. What did you run in the front?

Did you have to lower the profile to fit the 285 or would the 285/40 fit as is?

I'm also keen to hear the response from JPMBenz's question regarding what width and profile you went with in the front? 265's?

I'm thinking of going darker on the rims keeping the red inners which look dynamite in person IMO

Yeah my rears came out perfect. I need 3mm more in the front. Mine looked bad cause the stretched tires. They fit really nice now. I'm getting. I personally think you should go with a darker rim only because the car looks to silver but other than that it's a sick set up. It's going to look sick dropped.

Hey King, are your 285s stretched in the back?

with a 10.5 rim I think 295 if it fits, and you aren't lowering the car.. no rub would look way better.

Thats crazy if it does, I would of been happy if 285 fit on a 19X10 properly as the car really needs this.

but 295 would be a dream for this car!

Yep, just checked, my bad. Not sure where I came up with 40 profiles must have been the caffeine, heroin and vodka cocktail for breakfast. Doesn't start the brain in the right way if you know what I mean... Apologies.

I wouldn't want to go any lower a profile than 35 tbh - not for some of our roads around where I live...

Based on the 20" rims and wheel specs above, I'll assume 285/35/19's is going to be no problem in the rear then. Also hoping 265/35/19s in the front will not be an issue. I'll have this all checked out though once I get the car.

@Kingmonkey - car looks awesome dude. Ring its neck!
