Average stock tire life is....

Taking bets on how long a stock set of tires will last on the C63S model. I know driving styles and modes come into play here but looking for "no track time" estimate. Provide your guess within a 1k range. I'll go first.

Range: Between 7500 and 8500

You will probably go thru 2 sets of rear tires by the time you have to replace the fronts. I estimate rear tires every 10000 miles as long as they are not drag/track tires.

It really depends on the driver. My wife's 2012 C63 took over 20K miles to wear out the crappy stock tires.

I on the other hand will guess 10K for my rear tires.

Hoping for 10,000 on the rears and 12,000 on the front. It's easy to get excited in S+ so we'll see how well I can behave.

I change mine (rears) every 4 months or about 8000km. On a W204.

You must have some lead in that right foot lol.

What brand(s) have you used and do you have any opinions/preferences?

I just always turn the TC to sport or off. That and I don't mind some sideways action now and then. TC is the greatest tire saver. But I absolutely hate how invasive the system is.

I use only Sumitomos HTR ZIII. They're dirt cheap, but they have great dry grip, and they're quiet/comfortable for high performance tires. In all honesty, for street driving they're great and at the speed I go through a set, no need to pay extra for big name tires that will perform equal or worst and cost twice as much.

In my 2012 C63 I swapped tires at at 15K only because the fronts were really worn around the edges. It was because of under inflation and winter driving. The dealership said the rears still had a few thousand to go. I replaced all four because it was more than halfway through my lease and didn't want to have to replace my rears a few months before handing the car back.
