Ventilated Seats?
I am planning to get a new daily driver to replace my 2012 A6 3.0T and am deciding between the new C63S, M3, or slightly used E63S, M5 Competition. I went and test drove the C63S this past weekend and was quite impressed with the drive for a daily. Living in Texas, I am hoping there is an option for ventilated front seats. Can anyone confirm if this is an option or is it only something I can get by going larger and getting the E63S or M5? Feedback greatly appreciated!

That seems odd about the vented seats. The AMG Performance seats definitely cannot be vented, but it seems strange that the sports seats cannot be vented. The C450 order guide (like the C63/C63 S order guide) does not show ventilated seats (they both show heated as an option); however, when you order the C450 the ventilated seats can definitely be selected. I was only interested in the AMG Performance seats, but this build included the sport seats:
C450W4 $50,800
197 Obsidian Black Metallic $720
267 Sport Cranberry Red Leather
234 Blind Spot Assist
293 ** PRICE NOT ON FILE **
318 318 Interior Package: Leather Upholstery $2,880

E63's ventilated seats are barely noticeable and not very effective...so you will probably want to look elsewhere.

How odd.
I always assumed that if the car comes with heated seats that the vented option come along with it. I've never heard of offering one or the other, or in this case, just offering heated.....
My girlfriend's Lexus has both heated and vented, and I'm pretty sure every Lexus sold comes with the heated/vented option.
It makes zero sense to separate the two features; they compliment each other since many of us live in areas with actual seasons and will need both at different times of the year.
This kind of stuff drives me up the wall. There are features I love about Lexus, but hate. And there are features I wish AMG had from Lexus that it doesn't.
Can't have it all, lol.

I don't think the IS F (v8 engine) came with vented seats.

Just so you know the Rest of World gets Ventilated Seats on the C63 as an option with the regular AMG seats.
If you opt for the AMG Performance Seats you cannot get Ventilated Seats (worldwide).
According to the AMG Private Lounge the reason we don't have ventilated regular seats available in the US is due to the bean counters figuring that it'd be a low take option and them not sourcing the parts for US manufacturing.
However, I have been told that the upcoming C63 Coupe, which will still be manufactured in Germany, will have vented seats available as an option for the US market (for the regular seats).

buying the biggest and baddest c class and getting a blank button on the door makes my stomach churn... I know its not that big of a deal but if it isn't an option they should have changed the trim around the buttons, it seriously drives me nuts

Ventilated Seats were an option when I ordered my C400 in Canada - weird because we have one of the most undeserving climates that need it. Anyways it was an option but you were forced to upgrade from MB Tex to AMG Leather, a $2,000 upgrade plus $1,250 for the venitlated option. In my opinion the venting is not as strong as I feel it should be (brother's F150 has better ventilated seats), although the air-con works fanatistic and quick to cool you down. Me personally I like to drive with the windows down and sunroof open in the summer so ventilated seats are great.
