Window creaking when shut? Anyone else?
If you just tap the windows open slightly it releases some of the pressure and no more noise.
Pardon all the detail above.... but I hope this gives some clarity.
Anyone notice this?
Is the set-point for the up position of the windows adjustable by MB star?
I'll quiz my svc advisor at next visit.
I can deal with this for the time being by manually opening the windows a CH... just to relieve the compression a bit..... but that should not be required?

I've had cheapo fox body mustangs with out this type of problem and the fox mustang had 140K miles on it lOL......

I bet its your door frame seals at the top edge. If they are a felt type material, which i bet they are, this is the problem. Have a look, and if you have the felt strips, get some silicon spray, spray some into the can lid, then brush this onto the felt parts. Then, polish the door shuts, where the seals meet them, and im sure thats your problem, regards, SIMON.
The noise goes away if I releive the pressure of the window in the frame by hitting the down button ever so slightly..... it releases some of the pre-load. The window presses up so hard it buldges out the trim at the base of the window...... so I suspect I have a build issue. Something out of alignment or adjustment.

Its the felt at the top of the seals on the door itself. You do not have any build issues. This is a well known fact, with problems of this type. I first noticed this back in 2006, on a ford Focus ST i had, and every four door car, with this arrangement of seal, can have this problem. Just pop to a motor factors, and get some silicon spray, and give it a try, regards, SIMON.
Noise has got steadily worse and only noticed today that it stops with the window down.
I'll try the silicone spray later this week and see if it resolves things.
Thanks for the tip!

in any case....... a shot of silicone is cheap test.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I used to lube it twice a year, that did the trick.
We did encounter a faulty fuel pump at only 200 miles.... but chalk this up to a sub-vendor part. Not AMG. It's been to 1 track day and daily driving in H-town by my lead-foot wife.
I drive both cars and her's is built like a tank. No annoying squeaks rattles, elec issues.... nothing.
W205 - I've had this car for 2700 miles so far. I had to have the trim pcs on each side below the doors replaced, as they were falling off. The double sided tape was failing........ the replacement items were installed with a more permanent method by my dealer, and it looks perfect now. I've yet to have any sort of elec, or engine problem. I've only had this recent squeak in the window area... which I'm hoping my application of some silicone based tire dressing will solve. We'll see on my trip to work tomorrow if the squeak stops.
On fit finish.... the newer car has it.
On solid feel of doors.... the older car has it.
On tq and seat-o-pants meter..... the newer car wins.
On steering feel..... the older car wins out IMHO.
Hope this helps.

If the spray doesn't work.... it's scheduled to see the dealship Thursday.
I've got some legit door trim silicone treatment coming tomorrow.... then if that does not work... I'll just put a pc of smooth duct tape over the felt to rule that in or out. Not sure why the body flexes so much relative to the doors.......

I don't relish the dealer disassembling the door to try to fix it as it will probably cause other rattles.
A few days ago my driver's window started making noise exactly as described above, and a quick rub of silicone spray on the felt over the top of the door frame solved the problem.
Yes it's much better, let's see how often it needs application.
