After Break In Period - New Video
Video is here:
I think any car with turbos especially ones mounted in the top of the motor like MB and BMW do, is going to have this. They are placed in such a hot area to begin with. But I have no heard any issues with BMW's placement of the turbos, and they have been doing this longer than MB has.
I had a Honda Prelude that used to have the fan run every time I shut the car off. It's no big deal.
Compared to the 507, the car is noisier in day to day driving as it's a 4.0 litre block, versus the 6.3. But when you hit the gas hard and the turbos are really kicking in I feel the car is then quieter than the 507. The 507 would come to life, but only when you mashed the gas pedal. Otherwise it just purred with no effort during day to day driving. The new engine is more interesting during normally driving.
