Is it right time to buy 2015 C63 507?

Hello Folks.

My candidates were:

1) C63 coupe 507
2) Cayman S
3) SL550
4) M4

and I decided to go for C63 507. The thing is, all my friends voted against it. I know I'm the one who is going to drive(and pay for) it, not them. Their main reasoning is the redesigned 2016 is coming out soon. Some say it's early spring, some say fall, who knows. I have a nice deal. A brand new 507 with $13k off MSRP. So it's already hit its first year depreciation. I think I'm going to buy this week. What do you guys think? Is it right time to get a 2015 C63 AMG?

Their main reasoning is wrong. There is no redesigned 2016 version. Just a version with more standard features for 2016.

Lol. Discuss this with better friends. Or better yet, with no one at all and buy what you want and show up later.

Oh wait, I fail at reading again. You said C63 coupe 507 in your list, but in your explanation it seems you're alluding to a discounted sedan.

Which one is it?

Bit confusing on some of the points above...But congrats on your 204 series 507 - good choice and IMHO best choice of all those above

Also the new C205 C63 has just recently presented, but at this stage it's just the "normal" C63 coupe variants, not a special edition like the 507 if your interested in the 205 series equivalent of the 204 series 507 that does not exist yet and who knows what special editions will come about in the future of the 205 series...

2015 E400 Coupe
Our local stealer has the last new 507 coupe in Sydney and tried to get me to buy it. It is discounted to $175k and I reckon it would be madness to buy it at that price given it is superceeded by the 205. Just my .02 worth.

LOL that guy really is a stealer, you can get one of the remaining 507's here in Melbourne for less than that

Totally agree though, with what you get with the new 205 series even taking into account the 507 is a special edition with possible future value I'd still go for a new 205 and pocket the change to boot...

For people who have the 507 and certainly for the OP considering it in comparison to his list which excludes the new model then it's all good

C63 507 Coupe
Am I going crazy or what cause I remember the prices for used 507s at the start of the year in Aus were high 140s to low 150s but now they range from 150-175. Some guy is even trying to sell his for 200k! And on top of that most of them don't come with the locking diff.

Buy the 507 if you love the old shape, v8, and have your heart set on a 2 door and can't wait til the W205 coupe is released. However, don't pay w205 prices for a superseded model. If you want a limited edition buy the W205 E1. Imo, the W205 is a significantly more advanced car and this will become more obvious as time goes by. For the guy in Australia asking AUD$200k for a 507, "tell him he is dreamin"..

Yes for those people here in Australia trying to sell 507's for way over the top prices, they are obviously trying to make a killing from other people who are desperate for one now that production has ended - good luck

On the other hand some dealerships (stealers) are trying to make a killing on the new W205 C63's as well, also most probably for desperate people who can't wait for one and must have it here and now, there are 2 at a certain Melbourne dealership with a 211k price tag on them WTF ???
I'm sure one can be had for around 40k less than that !
