C63 Coupe or GT
Hello Forum members,
its been a while since i have posted. i currently own a 2013 C 63 Coupe Fully loaded. The best option that i like is the Distronic plus. i am currently in the market for a new car. I am considering either to wait for the new C 63 Coupe or go ahead with the GT. however, i couldn't find a lot of details on the GT or even find a video. most of the videos i found were on the GTS. i want to know what would be missing from the GTS. These are the options that i want in my car
Alcantara Roof Liner
Distronic Plus
Sport Seats
Adjustable suspension
Performance Exhaust
The C63 Coupe is in this category however, i could not confirm the Alcantara Roof liner if any one went to the Frankfurt Auto Show can you please Confirm. Also i dislike the Gear Shifter being next to the steering it lacks sportiness.

Thanks i found the post. i went to the dealer here however most of what they have in stock is the GTS either regular or edition one. apparently performance seats were only on the edition 1s. also due to it being way over my budget im looking at the GT. However they dont have good information on the GT and on whats actually different. i noticed that the GT does not have the adjustable suspension or the Race Mode. i guess ill wait until they have a normal GT for testdrive. they only have a gts and an edition 1 GTS. also where i am at the difference in price between a C 63 Sedan edition 1 and an AMG GT is 20 k usd and another 20 k between the GT and GTS. also if you find any actual video of someone reviewing a GT not a GTS can you please post

Your welcome. The GT won't be available till spring, as new releases are usually late they should appear in the summer, but prices should start becoming available the first quarter of 16..Your correct on dealers having no idea of GT yet. Not seen any other GT info other than what I offered. Agree that I wanted the C63S coupe optioned, but will be nearing the entry price of a GT, which will be a completely different experience after having my c63 coupe..

Actually the Dealer Claims he has 3 AMG GT in the warehouse and one of them is sold. and they are currently in stock to purchase. however, the Color combination and options were not what i wanted. The weird thing is that the salesman only knows whats on the screen basically the option lists and color. he did not even know there is a performance seat option until i showed him one of the cars with those seats. looks like we will wait and see

I have driven both first hand. Both on the street and track; they are truly different beats. The GT is a straight sexy machine; the C63 is a beast in a daily suit you can drive. If money is no option; get the GT-S.

Better Getrag Double clutch, SLS suspension, dry sump, better looks. Get the dynamic plus package with dynamic motor/tranny mounts.
Look at the Motortrend best drivers car comparo. The GTS blew the C63S out of the water and also took 1st place.

The GTS is probably the best car I have ever driven on a track. Absolutely mind-boggling all-round performance. Flawless.
Get the C63 if you need back seats. Otherwise GT/GTS all the way.

Drove the GTS today and it's an awesome machine!
My only concern was the rattling interior - definitely not the tight fit and build quality we're used to. It's clear that this car is built for the track, but works on the street, and not the other way around.
But what a car...

So i go to the dealer and ask to make an order for an AMG GT. apparently the ones he has in stock are without performance exhaust and amg ride control. i asked to order a car. apparently for the Gulf ( UAE ) Specs. you cant get a GT with AMG Rider Control. its only optional and infact standard on the GTS. looks like I'm at a dead end and need to wait for the new c63 coupe. or go to Germany get a car for a cheaper 20% price compared to my dealer here. ( 20 % cheaper with flight and hotels and export costs ). The downside is getting just 2 years of warranty.

Alright, so i found a a good deal and went with the GTS it was little bit more expensive than the C Coupe, but i figured out that keeping it on the long run is better. in terms of better looking car and even resale value. i got a black GTS with white and black interior ( sport Seats ). it has everything except for the distronic , ceramic brakes and the perfume thingie that goes in the gloves compartment. Also it has the matt carbon fibre trim in the interior photos below
