So i finally took delivery on my 2016 C63s Steel Grey Metallic with the Designo Saddle Brown interior & Linden Wood trim. Here are some Pics.

A nearly perfect build. One thing i did notice was the rims had the silver wheel caps from the Titanium rim's when it should be Black like the rest of the rim. I'm not sure if this is correct or not. If anyone can confirm that this is not normal please let me know. I'll need to bring it up with my sales person to try and get it resolved.

Otherwise the car is amazing, the brown interior really rounds out the car for me. Now time to start putting the miles on it so i can finally move above 4500RPM

 

Great color. I have steel grey also.

The wheels are wrong. The center caps are supposed to be black.

Did you pickup from MB Greenway? I noticed the Edwards Theater Cinema sign in the background.

Gorgeous! Make them give you the correct center caps but keep these as well as it is kind of a cool look.

Thanks everyone for confirming those rims. I was so excited about finally getting the car that I overlooked it until I noticed it later in the day. I'm returning tomorrow for them to replace the windshield which was somehow damaged during transit. I'm going to request the correct caps when it's getting the tint and windshield.

Does your headrests have the embossed Affalterbach logos?

 

No crests on the headrests unfortunately. I was somewhat disappointed by this after seeing them in the online configurator.

I can also confirm for certain that the Remote Start function does indeed work on the MY2016 C63s but there's a catch. It only works 5-10% of the time. I finally got my car to start remotely after about 20ish tries, the rest was communication errors. I really hope something is being done to address this problem. Not sure how MB can sell a product claiming to have this functionality but only work some of the time. Not a big deal here in Texas but I can see people in colder parts of the country relying or even planning a purchase around this feature.

Yeah my remote start has never worked but then I only tried it a handful of times. No communication errors, just a long time of nothing after mbrace confirms remote start sent/received.

 

Does anyone know if the Affalterbach crests on the headrests of the Non-Performance seats is something only for the European market?

In the US online configurator you can see the crests appear only when selecting the Designo interior choices.

I will have to question my sales rep about this as well. If they can screw up the center caps on the rims then it's not a giant leap of the imagination that they put C450 headrests in my C63s

 

I suspect the designo package deletes the headrest logo just like it deletes the color strip at 12 o'clock on the steering wheel. It's a shame - that was a deal breaker for me on the designo interior as much as I loved it...but I had to have that color strip at 12 o'clock!

Stunning car, congratulations! Wish steel/tenorite grey was available for the coupe, might have gone with that instead of selenite. Looks interesting but definitely out of place those titanium centre locking caps

By the way the designo seats do indeed forfeit the affalterbach crest in all markets.

 

After doing some digging I have discovered this to be true, kinda disappointing but minor when it comes to the overall amazement I have with this vehicle.

Coming from a CLA45 the difference is night and day. Comfort mode to me has a noticeable difference on the road. The build quality doesn't get much better inside.

In the end I'm glad I did the digging and the research on this car/segment. I have test drove pretty much all of the competition and I truly feel that this is the best out of them all. The time I waited seemed like an eternity but it has finally paid off.

I will post updated photos when the dealer fixes the rims.

 

Just my thoughts: Whether or not it's a mistake, MB has taken care of these in the past via dealer bulletins. Some 166 cars that should have come with carbon engine cover came with standard and mb would change to carbon if it were brought to the dealers attention. I have not seen a document for the headrests on startekinfo though.
If you can show your car SHOULD come with the crests I would think you have a case. Unfortunately most images have disclaimers regarding these things.

Yes, rear badges are deleted. I think it makes everything look cleaner.
