I saw the new bumperettes on this S Coupe today. They didn't stick out so bad. Hopefully we'll be presently surprised in the US upon launch.

you wont be surprised i seen it in person, its real bad.

The darker the colour the better, but anything light really makes it ugly.

It looks very misplaced compared to the S coupe because it has an indent where it slides into

the c coupe the bumps are placed on a flat surface

I guess I'm going to have to get over it. It's disappointing but out of my control. Too many other reasons I hope to love this car once it arrives. Hopefully I'll be able to overlook this terrible design decision. I'm getting the selenite grey.

Have you looked at a GTS?

Look at their picture thread and see the same thing.

It doesn't look quite as bad on the GTS IMHO. I saw one at the dealership in person last week. Hopefully in person the C bumperettes won't bother me as much.

The reason why it doesn't look bad on the GTS or the S-coupe is because the bumperettes follow the flow of the curves and lines that accompany them on the rear of the car. If you look at the C-coupe bumperettes, the shape of the bumperettes themselves in no way shape or form match any design line on the rear of the car at all. That is precisely why it looks so much worse on the c-coupe than the other cars.

The bumperettes still look bad on the GTS for the same reason as the C, it juts out because its on the flat surface of the rear bumper, what I don't understand is if they could do an indentation on the S coupe bumper to fit the bumperettes into, why not do it for the other cars too ?

You are mostly right

Its actually worse on the c coupe

The GTS still indents inwards, where the bumps go compared to the flat surface of the C coupe... Look closely on the GTS, the design isnt as good as the S coupe but still better then the C coupe

I saw an S63 Coupe in my work parking garage earlier today and the rear bumps are hardly noticeable and was pretty flush with the rest of the rear bumper (the car looked amazing).

The C63 Coupe rear bumps just sticks out like a sore thumb.

Wow...can you say "seamless" integration? Why make that stick out like its truly a design feature meant to catch the eye?

And here I thought the sedan had ugly rears. Coupes take the cake. Not even speaking about those things.

Yes I have. I agree that they are ugly. However I really only noticed it when someone brought it to my attention.... So technically I never been noticed its ugliness. LoL.

I can't speak for the rest of the country, but in Toronto there is a monster waiting list with NO allocations yet... There will be no hurting of sales, I guarantee you this. I would buy the C63 coupe over an M4 any day of the week.

I honestly don't think they are that horrible. Previous models of 911s had them and the GTS has them and I've never even noticed it until someone brought it up. Yeah it looks better without but really shouldn't be a big deal.

Honestly if they annoy me I will just take it to a good body shop and get it fixed.

Yeah it looks like the only option is probably a body shop. Not sure how much it would cost but depends on how much they bother you to decide if it's worth it.

FYI When I online chatted with MBUSA asking them how the bumperettes were attached. They said they had to check into it and will email me the response. This is what they said.

They are connected by 4 clips which would leave four holes in the bumper. Easy enough to get off but not easy to repair. Still might be worth it.

Yeah painting a new bumper isn't ideal but I got the polar white standard paint so it should be easy to blend. I'm leaning toward just having them get those off.
