I am planning on doing the European Delivery option. I wonder if this changes things or if the car has to be built to US specs and include the bumperettes regardless.

Euro delivery or not, if you are from the US or Canada, your build will include the bumperettes/bumper guards.

This is correct, I'm doing ED next month for my Coupe and have seen several ED pickups of US-spec Coupes on Instagram and they all have the bumperettes installed (with a shorter style euro plate for the ED trip).

Hi everyone. I'm new here to the forums. I have a Dec delivery date and will also pick up a US-spec in Sindelfingen. What I plan to do is to try and remove the "bumperettes" at the pickup site since I will have to install my Euro-sized plates immediately before I can drive off (trying to avoid installing the smaller-sized plates for Force Protection reasons).

I was wondering if anyone knows if the rear bumper will come off without having to remove the rear diffuser? If this is the case, I figured the rear bumper should be an easy removal at the pickup site with just a few bolts/screws. Once the bumper comes off, these bumperettes should come off with removal of just a few sets of screws correct?

If you remove it at delivery, your car will not be allowed into the US lol. Don't be too hasty. Also, it's not as easy as removing the rear bumper and replacing it with a Euro spec one.

Not being hasty. It won't go back to the states for at least another 2.5 years. It will be driven here in Germany. Once I'm ready to go back, it will get re-installed before delivery back to the US.

I originally missed the "bumperettes" on the North American versions of the C63/s, but you'll find them displayed in the images on the mbusa.com website when configuring a model.

Lol.. Those "bumper plugs" only fill holes that are 1/4" in size or smaller.

Well it's what we used to use on the 911 'bumperettes'. How big do you think the mounting holes are exactly? They come in different sizes for different applications.

I'm not sure how big the holes are. There is another thread on this topic. A member had his removed by a body shop, and they ended up cutting out the bumperettes, which left a hole equivalent to the size of the bumperettes.

If they're able to be removed without leaving behind such gaping holes (lol), then your solution just might work!

Cutting these off, based on the diagrams seems ridiculously drastic. They should be removable.

Does anyone have the part number of these rear bumps? Having trouble finding it/

Better if someone is selling theirs, my clear film installer damaged mine and i prefer to find the part before he goes through the effort
