Dip works but is temporary. My dip has lasted about 8 months but I'll likely replace it for powder coat next month. Plasti dip cost about $28 and its about $500 to coat the set.

I agree -- if you are looking for a permanent solution, go powder coat. Only do plastidip if you are testing the look on the car -- which is what I did on the stock rims. Even then, you definitely need to know what you are doing to make it look decent. If done properly, it does look really good but will begin to wear after a while giving you the cheap look. I put on enough coats that mine still looks really good IMHO. I'm sold on the dark wheels so the dip is coming off before the wear begins and the powder is going on.
Purchase rim blades. If you go on Amazon and look for it there's a pic of an Evo with black wheels and the red rim blade. That car was actually mine lol.
Godrealm I have seen these before but was skeptical of the look. I couldn't find your Evo on Amazon. Were you happy with how this looked? Do you still have a pic?
