Hey guys, I have a '2015 W205 C63 and seem to also have some gearbox issues, picked this up a a few weeks ago.
In any driving mode, (C,S,S+), sometimes when giving gas, revs go up, but car goes nowhere, seems like the clutch or gearbox is slipping.
I hope this is not the cars weak point, mine is a '2015 model, I had one of the 1st C63's to arrive, have around 20K Km's on it.
@ Dean - I am also based in South Africa, but in Joburg, car also starting acting up during the Easter long weekend... great time for it to happen...

biturbo AMG engines
hello gents here
here in Germany so many of these new AMG biturbo cars are INSIDE the repair shop as outside and on the streets...
poblem is the construction itself
the biturbos are simply way too close to the engine
buildinn the header they are simply too tight to the engine so in case of turbo errors...fragments find their way tru all the exhaust heat their way back into the engine and have errors into the engine
So many MB mechnics know this fact and problems
they say this engine type was simply way too fast in production
other engines have almsot 3-5yeras in testings
these less than only 2
I drive only the common 6.3 (none turbo) M156 engine with real 6.209ccm
maybe to put a magnuson kompressor kit would complete my dream
...my 5cents on this problem
Best regards Frank

Not to mention, I don't think I single member has had an issue with a turbocharger failing on an M177, let alone destroying the engine because of it.

I can't say if you are right or not in your assessment but I have been reading these threads for a year and I am not seeing engine problems.
Some software and sensor errors that can be corrected with updates or sensor replacement.
I think the genius of the design with a hot V is the future of many new engine designs. Others are doing the same. I don't see why the turbos being close is a problem but a help having a short run from port to turbo.
Mine has been good except for small temporary glitches.
Software development is the key and it will improve. You can see that with the transmission that has improved greatly from earlier cars using the basically same trans.

I got feedback from the dealership yesterday, it appears all is well, adaptation was successful,
they mentioned they had some issues with gear selection initially, apparently further adaption resolved this.
i will be going trough later today to go and test drive it and hopefully bring her home, finally!
Will update when I fetch the car.

Collected the car, all seems in order, actually drives better than when before it broke,
hopefully nothing further goes wrong. The adaption was done with the car in motion, they were too scared to drive it hard when adapting though, as they got a lecture when i dropped it off. They asked me to run it for a bit and then bring it back.
It was a little spring that actions the solenoid that broke, the technician showed me photos, if he ever forwards those photos to me. i will post it for others reference.
Thanks Guys for all the kind words, it was quite disconcerting that such a new car, my first Mercedes had to break. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong.

I had same problem at 1500 mile... my dealer took almost a month to find the problem they had to discuss it with AMG in Germany.. and a week to fix it.. it seems as they described a software problem with the floor acceleration paddle.. because its like drive by wire.. they had to change the acceleration floor paddle.. it was defected... right now its way better and much more responsive than before...it seems to me the problem was there from the first day i drove it.
