C63s headache!!
I purchased a 63s about a month ago....beautiful car.. It got to about 2100km and problems started. It's been towed to mb dealer to figure out what went wrong.
The car engine light came on and went into limp mode as soon as the car reached 3000rpm.
Mb has reset the car, engine light is off but the car is hunting for gears and revvs. they mentioned a faulty gearbox control unit but they appear unsure themselves.
I am so disappointed at this... Anybody else had similiar experiences...

i am in Durban, South Africa, they did not mention what the fault codes were, all i was told that it was low rail pressure and a fault with the gearbox control unit. with it being a long weekend here nothing much has been done with investigating the car, i will follow up tomorrow. The impression i git was they want to run diagnostics on the car prior to replacing components.

I had a few issues after about 3000kms.
It started with a issue which was fixed by a software update. Then I had multiple cylinders which misfired - I had to go in to get this issue resolved a few times. They had to change the 'coils' a few times.
Touch wood no issues since...

Update:
I have been told that the problem on my car is a first, they are now going to systematically test every component on the car, as per instructions from their Head office.
i have no hope left after hearing that.....

Are the coils the problem, or could it be a bad mass air flow sensor? Just saying, my 1999 C43 recently had multiple misfires and the dealer replaced the coils for the cylinders that misfired. Then it misfired again, in the same cylinders, so the coils weren't the problem given that they were new. Turns out it was the mass air flow sensor, which my father figured out, not the dealer. You're car is a lot newer, but even a new sensor can turn out to be bad.

initially when i called roadside assistance, the technician mentioned low rail pressure caused the engine light to activate, following being towed to the dealer, they discovered a fault code for the Gearbox control unit, they sorted those out supposedly, now the car is not derivable as the vehicle cannot select gear and its constantly rev hunting. I don't allow test drives, so i drove the car when they reset it,, it gained and lost power gear in a split second, another vehicle almost collided with me when that happened. Imagine that happening on a busy freeway. Not a pretty thought.

Update:
One week later, there still don't have the foggiest as to whats going on, but it gets even better,
Mercedes Benz customer care managers don't bother to return calls.
I called through to query on my complaint lodged and on the tips case, no one has any idea what goes on.
Is this really what owning a Premium Mercedes like?

I have just been informed that they will be replacing the VGS control unit, they suspect a broken solenoid Valve spring in the unit, app. delivery time of the component from Germany is 3-4 weeks....

Some good news, they apparently have found stock in the country and it will be delivered on Thursday this week, if all goes well, i should have the car back on Friday.

It is with utter disgust!!! that i have to update, MBSA is nothing more that backyard plumbers, they had procured a part for the car that apparently supposed to fix the problem, They have somehow found stock in the country of the part.
No they tell me that they the part does not work work, they have to replace some other body, all the concerned parties are avoiding my calls...
I think it time now that they need to replace the car, they can fiddle with whatever they want to on their own time and expense
I am so ticked off that my staff walked out of the office as it couldn't type the french i wanted to.....

Some how I doubt South Africa has a Lemon law. I feel for the OP and I think you ought to write to MB in Germany. Companies like MB hate bad press. Go to one of your local car magazines and chat to them, you might be amazed at how they suddenly they can fix it.
