A few of the differences are the extra HP and TQ of course and an electronic diff. that you can't add as a option . It also has dynamic engine mounts and larger brakes. Many of the std. items on C63S are options on the C63. I think the race mode on the C63S is not available on C63. I priced mine both ways and it was close enough after adding options and I would miss too many other things so I went for the S.

Thanks RDOCA! Apprecite it.. I thought they have the same brake size except for the color.. What is electronic diff.? Do they give special discount on AMG clas models?

Electronic Limited Slip differential for the C63S that can dynamically adjust the wheel spin. The standard C63 has a mechanical differential which is a fixed ratio I believe.

The C63S comes with a few visual differences that RDOCA didn't mention. The A-Wing front splitter is painted black with a silver highlight standard on the S, while it is body coloured on the non-S. Also, non S comes with 18 inch wheels standard while S has 19. Interior wise, S version gets the steering wheel indicator, embossed AMG logo in the headrests, and grey Alcantara highlights for the black leather interior.

Other than that, the S version comes with many features that would be optional on the non-S as standard. This makes the starting $10k difference between the two cars a lot smaller than it initially appears. For example, the 19 inch wheels, AMG performance steering wheel and genuine leather interior are standard on C63S, but optional on the non-S

The front brakes on the S are larger, rear brakes are the same size on both.

A bit further on what obbob said: the e-diff dynamically adjusts how much torque is sent to each rear wheel, whereas the non s uses a fixed ratio, what this basically means is you'll get better grip at the rear with the S.

Standard C63: 360/330mm vs. Black series: 390/360mm

This RacingBrake kit can upgrade standard C63 to Black series brake:
Black series: 390/360mm

http://www.racingbrake.com/Brake-Rot.../mb-irk-02.htm

Re-use your front OE calipers, bigger and lighter 2 piece rotors, brand new MB rear calipers (for 360mm rear), brake lines, brake pads.

Everything you need for an instant BBK with bolt on installation.

I priced them both. After factoring in all the options I wanted, the price difference between the C63 and the C63s was negligible. Plus, then you're diving an "s" (which is cool, and worth something on resale), and you get red brakes, larger front brakes, and the e-diff, and a few other neat things.

I also think that Mercedes makes fewer of the non-S motors, so it may be less easy to get a non-S version.

Bottom line, if every dollar matters, I'm sure you'd still be happy with the C63. If you can spare a few thousand more, don't hesitate to get the S.

Have tracked both a C63 and C63S and can say the S feels so much neater in the corners with the dynamic engine mounts and that diff is excellent

The main difference for me with the facelifted models was the traction control system in the S. Totally worth the money! The salesman had me take both cars around an on ramp and floor it half way around, the S accelerated hard and smooth, never cutting power. I couldn't believe how much grip it had! The standard 63 did what I expected, killed the power completely a few times.
