Ordering a 2017 car: What kind of deals are you getting?
At the end of the day -- You really need to 'pay to play' when you are dealing with ordering the specialty models, very similar #s to ordering late-model M cars from BMW. 4-6 % is ideal and better than a lot of folks who just waltz in and get a few bucks off MSRP and call it a day.
So overall you are doing a great job especially with the fleet discount (which could get better!) make sure you ask the fleet team every month until delivery @ fleetoperations@mbusa.com, they reply quickly. For example, the 2016 C Sedan discount went up $300 from $2000 to $2300 in June for some.
Congrats on your selection, I think the hardest part as we age, or at least for me anyway, is to allow myself to splurge on a brand new model whether it be an AMG, M, etc. gotta weigh that emotional prowess vs. the checkbook. From the way you are talking about it you seem to be fairly vested in the purchase which is great and it will definitely be worth it when you see that shiny blue in person!
An Absolute killer! worth the wait and the fees lolz
The C450 is a 2016 model and it is end of life for this model. Both of these facts are leading to deep discounts for C450s that absolutely do not translate over to the C63 and C63s models.
The C450 is not "real AMG" for whatever that's worth. From a pragmatic standpoint, Mercedes dealers are more stingy with discounts on the AMG models than they are on the regular MB models. Factory incentives are less common for the AMG models as well.
The C450 is not an appropriate data point for this discussion. Info for MY2017 C43 vehicles on order would be useful. Sales data for the discounted close-outs on the C450s is irrelevant to any discussion on MY2017 C63 models.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
dealers can't move them. I saw window discount of 5k at a recent sale event. I did not negotiate on one but it seems to me 6-8 % percent off is very reasonable. The coupe might be a little different at this time , but will expect that it will follow the same path like sedan in 5-6 months. This should be dealer discount plus some customers might qualify for fleet discount which should be additional. I never ordered AMG, but ordered car should be discounted more because the dealer avoids paying interest on a 90 k car sitting for several months on the lot. Only draw back for them is if you order a weird combination and back off last minute and they get stuck with a car that is difficult to sell
