Decided to make the switch
Been following this forum for a bit just reading and getting some info.
A little about me. After owning BMWs for 15 years I was considering making a change. Have had 2 M3s and now have an M4.
This morning I decided to go by the dealer and check out the ordering options for the C63 coupe and to get an idea if the numbers would work out. Turns out they did.
Pulled the trigger on a C63 coupe. Decided to go with Brilliant blue. The color looks incredible in person. Pictures do not do it justice. I got an estimate production date of late August early September with an estimated delivery of early November. This wait is gonna be tough!

I've been a loyal BMW owner for 10 years, having owned a E90 335i, an F10 M5, and an E90 M3. I test drove an F80 M3 and an F82 M4, and I felt really disappointed. The didn't feel "special" to me. After 6 years of ownership, we decided to sell the M3 for a C63S Edition 1 sedan.
It's taking me some time to adjust, but it is a great package of a car. The interior is unmatched in the class (even better than the M5). What sold me, over the new M cars, was the glorious sounds that come from the exhaust. They are intoxicating - and REAL! That Active Sound thing that BMW has done is really shameful. This C63S sounds so much better than the F series M cars (M5 included).
I don't know that I will forever turn my back on BMW, because I really do love their cars. But, I know that I made the right choice to get the AMG this time around. I know that you will feel the same way. Congrats on the purchase!
At the end of the day they are both great cars and as you stated I'm not turning my back on BMW forever but it's time to go with the AMG. Thank you for all the replies.
