One piece of advice on the Sport Cups: NEVER drive them in the rain! As others have said, they are not a street tire. Yes, you can drive them on the street but I would not advise it for three reasons. 1. I have the Pilot Super Sports as OEM on my '15 C63S Edition 1 and they are fine for every day use. However, I track my car so I decided to get the Sport Cups. FANTASTIC track tire. However, we had a sprinkling of rain prior to one session such that the track was not even wet; simply spotted with rain drops. My car was practically uncontrollable. I cannot imagine how unsafe they would be in one of your famous Texas storm events. 2. The Pilot Super Ports should be more than you will ever need on the street. 3. Pilot Cups wear VERY quickly. As others have said, if you were disappointed with 7k, you will be steamed at Cup wear rates. Bridgestone and Continental make cheaper alternatives but if you are willing to spend $400 more on the best street tires, get the Super Sports.

That is really good to know, might stick with the PSS!

Thanks for the heads up on the Sport Cup 2s. I've got some Super Sports on their way and should be fitted in a few days. I can't wait to see how different they are from the Sport Maxx.

Just had Service A done at 10+k and was told fronts (and rears) are still good. I drive pretty hard so I guess the Dunlaps are holding up.
