Hey guys,

My car has docked on Friday and sitting at Port Kembla

Black on Black C63S Coupe.

Purchased from Mosman Mercedes.

I have been tracking the ship Morning Conductor which has now left

The status says - DISCHARGED PORT KEMBLA 16 - 9 - 16

Any idea how long it takes to get from there to the dealer? Want it yesterday haha

Thanks

Hey mate mine was discharged 4 Sept, then drive red status 7 Sept, and received it on the 14 Sept. I'm on Brisbane though and I guess it can vary depending on how busy they are at the port.

Congrats on the purchase. You and Sanch will have to get together to compare black on black beasts!!

I've been told to expect 10 days from arrival to delivery so RHAUS is on the money as always.

I was also on Morning Conductor, discharged in Melbourne a few days earlier. Apparently it's completely out of the hands of the dealer until it gets through compliance and prep centre. I have been told a dealer can turn the car around in a day once they receive it. I'm hoping to take delivery by the end of the week and have an enjoyable weekend!

Looking forward to some photos of everyones different spec as they arrive.

Haha I spent 5 minutes googling "drive red" status.

So discharged would mean offloaded from the ship and delivered would mean delivered to dealer or prep centre perhaps??

Haha sorry mate. I had asked about this when mine showed up as drivers and was told:

Quote: That means the car has been off loaded from the vessel. From my understanding it then goes to Prix car or another yard for compliance plates a quick wash and check over then transported to the dealer. Depending on the day but generally 4-7 days untill you have it.
So your very close to the finish line mate. Exciting times.

Mines on the same boat! haha

Also, from Mercedes Mosman.... What are the odds!

I had a call from the dealer saying they are trying to speed up the process but customs takes its time.

I recon it will be next Monday.

I opted for the titanium wheels this time around... the black were a nightmare on the sedan to keep clean!

Can't wait to see everyone's car... shouldn't be too much longer (hopefully).

I think the satin black wheels is one of the best colours around at the moment.... when they are clean! lol

I feel you, I clean my wheels way too frequently as well.

Tell me about it. I'm feeing the pain already with barely 200km on the clock and those bad boys already have a nice rusty tinge to them.

haha it all depends on how you drive. I might manage to keep my wheels rather clean for the week, but oh god over the weekend, and when friends are in, they turn into bronze plated wheels

Maybe if it gets too much just a bronze plated wrap to match the wheels ha ha. I'm sure there's a market for that.

hahahaa, dude the brake dust is horrible but try the sonax wheel cleaner, its stunning use it every once in a while and it'll keep the wheels in a good shape.
