Red face Getting new rims - help me pick tire

Hello!

Finally decided to change my wheels, want to fit wider tires on my C63S sedan.

Will like everyone's feedback and comments below:

Front will be 265/35/19x9.5

Please help me pick a rear:
A) 285/35/19x10.5
B) 295/30/20x11
C) 305/30/20x11.5

Any input is appreciated! Thank you!

When I change my wheels and tires I'm going with a 255/35/20 and 285/30/20. Some people on here have complained of rubbing under heavy compression with a 295 so I think a 305 is definitely out of the question. Just my opinion!

hows the height ratio of 255/35 front and 285/30? i read in one of this forum if you go 255/35 front then 275/35 rear...

Mine is firm now and going to a 30 section height will make it more so Your call.
the front will be .5 in larger in diameter and 17 revs per mile less

stock is 17 rev per mile diff.
going to a 275 puts diff at only 7rpm with 265 rear

A. this choice will be .6 larger dia. and 16 rpm less so pretty close and will fill wheel well a little more with out sacrificing ride stiffness with a 30 section height.-- speedo error 2.3%

B. this choice is .7 larger and 20 rpm less -- speedo error 2.7%

C. this choice is .9 larger and 26 rpm less -- speedo error 3.4%

You are .5 inch larger in rim width on all choices but within the acceptable range

I would choose A but all would work I think

Really appreciate your analysis, do you think they will scrub or hit the inside corner or the fenders?

Correct me if I am wrong

Stock
Spec: 265/35/19
Tire sidewall: 92.75 mm
Rim diameter: 482.6 mm
Tire+Rim diameter: 668.1 mm
Difference to stock: 0 mm

A
Spec: 285/35/19
Tire sidewall: 99.75 mm
Rim diameter: 482.6 mm
Tire+Rim diameter: 682.1 mm
Difference to stock: 14 mm

B
Spec: 295/30/20
Tire sidewall: 88.5 mm
Rim diameter: 508 mm
Tire+Rim diameter: 685 mm
Difference to stock: 16.9 mm

C
Spec: 305/30/20
Tire sidewall: 91.5 mm
Rim diameter: 508 mm
Tire+Rim diameter: 691 mm
Difference to stock: 22.9 mm

Even if I go for option C, the whole diameter is only 22.9mm bigger then stock, seems minimal and seems to fit from the looks of it. OR is my calculations flawed?

Thank you!

I think you are correct --just work with the rim mfg. to get correct offsets.
If you look up a thread from King Monkey he put this size on his car and he has pics.

Those calculations above are correct, make sure tyre load ratings are met or exceeded compared to OEM specs

Re. o/a wheel diameter size from my understanding you need to stay below 2% of o/a wheel diameter differences to not adversely affect indicated speed and odometer readings, that largest option above puts it at 3.43% larger which means you may have to adjust ecu calibrations/readings accordingly not sure if this is possible with the 205 but it is in a lot of other vehicle types.

Also need to keep in mind RTA and insurance requirements depending on what Country your in, here Australia large deviations like that render the vehicle unroadworthy and uninsurable unfortunately

If you have CCB only a few companies offer a wheel without SPACERS to fit over the Brake Calibers.

I have Vorsteiners and they fit great.
