Mine seems to be around 208F. So seems to be the normal range.

Bump since I've just taken my car in for service and experienced the same muting of the exhaust note. Has anyone else figured out a solution?

My car gradually got it's voice back after a couple of months and after another visit to the dealer to sort out the eco stop start I was told that Mercedes were aware of the issue after a number of owners had complained and have produced a 'patch' for the latest software to get the noise back.

hahaha ill make sure the dealer has that patch before carrying out the service I don't want her to lose her note

Has it been really hot where you are lately? I live in Los Angeles in the San Fernando valley and I've noticed when it really hot during the summer that lift off pop is not as loud as it is in the cold mornings. I don't know why that would be but that's what I've noticed on my car. Even with the AWE-Track exhaust I installed I notice a difference. Maybe something to look into.

It seems like my AWE touring exhaust just gets louder over time either that or I'm just getting old and more irritable :/

Had the same issue after a service at 13000km, where the latest software updates were applied. After that noticed intermittent power loss, and the car was performing best in comfort mode - worst in race mode.... Thought it was a fuel factor, so I tried 2 back to back bottles of octane booster... Guess what - it was even slower with the booster in!!

Finally read everything online and determined it was the vacuum line to the wastegate actuator that was kinked / worn. My dealer replaced this and everything is back to normal... performance is better than ever, sound is much better too

Suggest that those suffering from similar symptoms check their vacuum line

The pops and crackles are definitely deeper and louder. Sometimes, it's a little too much so I keep it quiet in Comfort mode.
