Just placed my order YESTERDAY for a C63s AMG Coupe! So excited for it, as it will be my first Mercedes, and my first AMG Car! I have a production slot which should have my car delivered to me sometime in February, so it should be a fun 4 month wait!

After ordering the car from my dealer, what information should i get from my dealer/mercedes? I want to be able to track my car like BMW, and receive photos of my AMG being built.

Congrats on the order. You and I are in the same boat, first time MB buyers. Don't be too surprised if your production date slips. Mine was supposed to be built this week. Nope. You never know, it could be next week, but I'm not holding my breath. Waited ten months for my R8. It was hard, but what a reward at the end!

 

Count me in to. First time MB guy. Been an Audi guy for a decade and would have stayed that way if the RS4 or RS6 was available. Since Audi has left the performance sedan market (save R8) and I loathe BMW, that left the C63S Coupe.

At any rate, I ordered a week ago. Going to take European delivery for the free 5% off. Looks like a December build but we're still working to finalize that.

BTW, what kind of deals did you guys negotiate? I didn't push very hard and now I think I should have. I told them 10% off with 5% coming from Merc for ED leaving the dealership to give me an additional 5%. They didn't even hesitate which makes me think I left a few grand on the table.

 

Well I am a passenger in the same boat ha. I waited 9 months for my Viper ACR, luckily I had another in the garage. to hold me over. Dodge has a concierge service where pictures are sent to you of the build in process, and any questions are answered. I asked my Mercedes SA about this service, he told me they do not have it. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is were the boat comes in from Europe, and the cars get loaded on trains and onto trucks that go all over North America. I drive by everyday to go to work. I have been seeing the C63s arriving for the last few Months. Not sure if that is making it easier or not. Mine will not arrive until February also John. With the same options just different colour.They maybe on the same boat.

 

Congrats! You may want to confirm with your dealer your order has been accepted in Netstar with the power-folding mirror option (included in Premium 2). You may have noticed several of us had C63S coupes delivered in the past few weeks that are missing the power-folding mirrors.

I would also check on the HUD. I ordered last month 63s coupe Dec build. HUD was not an option presumably lack of parts. This could have changed since I haven't followed up recently.

Same predicament here too. Left Audi after having an RS5, S4, S6. Didn't want 4 door RS7. Have a 997 so don't want an R8 for a daily driver. So, got a C63S. Picked it up last week. No buyers remorse... So long, Audi

 

While I was looking at the C63 I was negotiating on an S6. I wanted to stick with Audi but in the end knew the S6 wasn't what I was really looking for. The Coupe is perfect. If we had a B9 RS4 sedan coming to the US I would have done that. That being said, I used to drive a friends W204 Coupe and I loved it. I'm looking forward to this car.

 

idk if anyone is in the same situation as I am but I keep finding myself going back and forth between the Audi s6 and the c63s. I know they're different cars but the price is very similar. What do you like about the c63 more than the s6?

 

Interesting the former Audi connection here. I would have stayed, but wanted something similar size, but more zoot than my current S4. No options from Audi right now (except the big $100k plus cars), so on to the C63s.

 

Exactly. I would have loved my S4 with another 100hp. I wasn't willing to tune it to get there so I'm making the change. I love Audi and I'm certain I'll go back in the future but for now, I think the C63S is the performance bargain in the segment.

 

Couldn't agree more. Same here, hence the forum name. Had way too many problems with my Audi. Pick up my C63S Coupe mid November.

My build allocation was scheduled for some time last week. Just heard from my dealer the build start date has been set for Nov 11. I can live that, but it also means the car will no doubt arrive the afternoon before the holiday, and it won't be ready to deliver until after the first (I'm a glass half empty type). What are other US buyers hearing as far as delays in coupe production?

 

Well my build date is the 11 nov also. Although Canadian. I was told Mid February for delivery. Which means March, (half empty also ha). When it arrives all I can do is look at it anyway until April. To much salt or snow on the ground sucks!!!!

 

I can't get a firm build date after giving my dealer the specs 3 weeks ago. They think December build date but I haven't heard from them. In another week I'll probably email another dealership and see if they can move this along.

 

Feb-March delivery? Ouch. I hope US deliveries are faster than that. My dealer is saying he hopes before year end.

 

I was just told today my build date, has been pushed back 6 weeks. Because of the 1of1 paint job.

What color did you order? Generally it's 8-12 additional if it's not a normal color on the car.

 

Well I hope it does not take that long. But it is what it is. You kinda get use to it after a few orders. Can't be any worse then what I was told for my ACR. 2 weeks, and 9 months later it showed up. Hopefully one saving grace is that it is a stock Mercedes colour Hyacinth red.

 

Hyacinth Red was/is one of the colours with extended delivery dates.

Restricted supply October decade 1 then not available through November and December.
