Winter Tires on Coupe

All,

I am getting the C63s Coupe shortly and am looking for winter tires for the stock 19s 255/35/19 front 285/30/19 rear. Tirerack has Pirelli Sottozeros for those sizes but I've never like them much. If I go to 35 sidewall in the rear you can get Michelin Alpin P4. Anyone have experience with those tires? Also, any reason I shouldn't get the slightly bigger sidewall? I would prefer more sidewall in the winter plus I don't see how it would be much different than having the optional 20" wheels in the rear.

Has anyone else found or recommend a better set up?

Thanks!

Narrower is supposedly better for Winter so how about Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32:

245/40/19
275/35/19

Isn't it best for ABS and traction control to not adjust the tire size that much? Especially the height and therefore revolutions per mile?

Using this calculator https://tiresize.com/calculator/

For the rear diameter:

285/35/19 is +4.7% higher than stock
275/35/19 is +3.5% higher than stock

For the front diameter:
245/40/19 is +3.5% higher than stock

Thanks. What is a good percentage to stay within?

I guess the lowest percentage possible. Too bad no one makes these in winter they would prolly be ideal for your car:

245/35/19 -0.8% lower than stock
275/30/19 -0.8% lower than stock

I don't know the wheel offsets but if the front wheel fits the rear investing in 2 additional front OEM wheels and mounting on back and using 255/35/19 all around may be something to consider.

Thanks for all the replies. I did find Pirelli Sottozero II in my stock size and Michilen Alpin PA4 in my size for about $300 more than the Pirelli's. I'll probably go with one of those options.
