C63S coupe or the AMG E63S
Hey guys, I'm going to get rid of my 2013 c63 coupe soon and am unsure of what I should get for my next car. I'm interested in the CLS 63s for the luxury and performance but I know the engine is going to be outdated by the new E63S coming out. The new E63S is nice but apparently it has the same 4.0L V8 twin scroll bi turbo engine in the C63S. So if they were both tuned to the same power I would assume the lighter C63S would win. What do you guys think?

I would definitely go for the E63s.

I dont think so. E63 has twin scroll turbos, C63 doesnt. Also E63 is going to get aero and tech from the AMG GT R so it should be faster.

As others have said the new E63 will have different spec 4.0ltr V8 compared to current C63, it will be more powerful stock and with tuning.
New E63 also has the advantage of AWD and will incorporate other "go fast" tech not featured on the C63, it is afterall designed to compete with the new M5 and RS6/7 which are both over and above the performance of the C63.
E63 will also be more luxurious/step up on the interior than the C63.
Simple answer to your question is the E63 wins on performance and luxury if that's what your wanting - though at a cost

Thanks for the CarAdvice link.
I will need to see the LCD panel display that incorporates the GPS screen. In the photos I've seen the wide array with the protruding "sunshade" design doesn't appeal to me personally.
I prefer "old school" gauges and even the "floating iPad" GPS screen. So I guess I'm in the minority. The iPad-like screen is the ideal visual height for me.

if you don't have any problems with cost, then surely it must be an e63s!

I was at a Porsche event a week or so ago for the new Panamera. I was told that the new Panamera Turbo S (probably due late next year) will be a Hybrid with 1000nm total torque. If true, it will be rather quick indeed.

Keep in mind for a decent specced Panamera Turbo S you would be spending in the region of $450k AUD (thats what the sales guys here in Gold Coast told me)..... Thats supercar/exotic car territory in regards to pricing.....
