Let us know where the tabs are to see if we can replicate the noise on our cars please!

Rattle gone

I got the car back from the dealer - they fixed the rear bumper issue (plastic pieces between two panels were touching; resulting noise) - they refitted the bumper and placed isolating material in places two pieces could touch.

Roof/door rattle gone - they opened the rear right door panel, replaced the "fixings" (had to leave the car overnight because these "fixings" needed to be ordered from the MB). They told that new "fixings" are harder, they fix the panel better and do not allow it to move.

After a long test-drive one conclusion - this fixed my problem. Let's hope the rattle stays away.

I was able to figure out the rattle in my car. I have the sedan, mine was coming from the "oh ****" handles on both the front and rear passenger side. The rear was worse. The grab handles are not bolted on, and the base clip is attached directly to the metal part of the roof. I pulled both out, bought a sheet of self adhesive felt pad from Michael's. I think they were $0.50/sheet. Cut them out with slits for the clips to go through, also stuck some on the grab handles as well... the plastic parts that touch. Test drove the car after and gone!

so the roof rattle which we used to hear coming the somewhere above and behind us is coming from the rear right door panel's fixings ?

Rattle still gone
After over one month ago, dealer fixed the rattle (rear right door) - since then no rattles. During the process trying to identify the rattle, I used many felt-pads in order to minimise all minor rattles (however I did not succeed to eliminate the main rattle - somewhere right side pillar-sunroof area). After the dealer fixed the main rattle, the car is 95% rattle free (I had also wind-noise, which was fixed circa 6 months ago by the dealer according to MB bulletin).

My windshield had a small crack, so I replaced it. Right after that I noticed some wind noise coming from the roof. The windshield was not installed in the right way. Check the gap between the front windshield and the roof. There must be NO GAP at all, this is for panorama vehicles.
