Just noticed today my C63s has a signiture on the windshield, whats this for or who is it lol

My sedan had Karl Benz.... My coupe just has Mercedes on the same spot with the same font.

'16 AMG C63S Coupe
I was told it's embedded into the windscreen.

This way it's harder for repairers to supply non-genuine windscreens, while charging for genuine ones.

I heard it was something to do with honouring the Benz side of the company where most people call it simply 'Mercedes'

Just looked at mine and Karl is spelt with a C, maybe it's a U.K. spelling.
