Shipped my Edition 1 Coupe out to Huntington Beach for the Dime treatment
Two weeks after taking delivery of my new coupe I put it on a truck and sent it out to Dime Racing for some upgrades. Steve and I had everything planned before I even had the new car so they went right to work as soon as it arrived. The upgrades include:
upgraded turbos (compressor and turbine replaced)
Divorced Cooling system
Downpipes
And of course tuning.
Dime finished the work in a timely manner, but the car sat there for a couple weeks because I couldn't find the time to fly out from Chicago and check it out until this last weekend. The results were unbelievable! The car put down about 640 WHP and still drives with all factory characteristics. The exhaust sound from the downpipes and turbos is eargasmic and reminds me of my W204 with longtubes with the addition of some welcomed turbo spool. Dime is top notch. The car was in the exact condition I gave it to them in with no surprises and their shop is very clean and impressive.
My coupe will be staying out there for a couple weeks as they are making a custom 18" rear wheel set for me to run a good drag radial. When the wheels are finished I will fly out again and go see what the car puts down in the 1/4 mile.

Very nice, indeed....would like to see it in person. Maybe you can make it to one of the Supercar Saturday events this year. We started generating more AMG participants last year...your's would be a very welcome addition.

Honestly I didn't pay close enough attention because everytime I did a pull I was just looking out for CHP! I will say that with back to back pulls I did not feel any reduction in power from heat soak that would be typical of the stock system with increased boost.

Roger that D man........I was lucky to have mine out this week when we hit the 40's. Now i'm back under cover with the trickle charger going..Spring can't come soon enough

0-100 will probably be slower due to traction issues. You should be concerned about the 60-130mph which matters the most. 635whp / 650wtq it made on the dyno considering 15% loss would be 720hp crank & 750wtq !

Oh, I've just known many kids like you that were given everything in life and they are pretty much the worst. I'd go as far to say they/you are what is wrong with this country. Plus you strut around here like they're your cars <--That I just couldn't let go.
And if I was 19 again I would probably say I'm jealous and want my parents to buy my cars/mods. But I'm not a moronic 19 yr old any more, thank god. I enjoy the pride in paying my bills myself. One day I hope you'll understand.
