C63s dimmed tail lights
Hi guys,
last week it was a bit foggy and at night the tail lights looked a bit dark. That day a friend was telling me how about if you dim the tail lights, wouldn't it look better? (I don't know, either tinting or wrapping it - sorry I'm not sure how its done )what I mean is making the lights look slightly darker .
any thoughts ? I think some one on here had it done .. ?

Do you mean the taillights were too bright at night or they are already dim at night?.
In which case if they are too dim at night then tinting them wouldnt be advisable as you definitely dont want a ticket or someone driving into the back of you.
I have tinted lights in the past, i prefer the tint on top of the taillight so its reversible and still looks good i think depending on the colour of the car.
Darker the paint the better it'll look IMO

It may have been a 3M film, a good tint shop should carry it. It really wasn't very dark as far as reducing light transmission, I got the lighter of the two options they carried. I'll see if I can find a pic of it on my ML.

The car looks tacky with the film IMO. You can tell right away if the taillight have film because its not glossy. Smoke LIGHT UV paint Clear is the way to go. see attached picture. I

I'm not a fan of blacked out tails on cars. I find they degrade the overall look of the car quite a bit. I do, however, find the Smoke LIGHT UV Paint that darwin posted looks pretty boss. If I was looking for slightly darker tails, I would do that over the tinted film tails any day of the week.

Chrome black door handles looks more Titanium in person

There is a gloss tint film available.
Darkness depends on the car. I think it looked good on my BMW, but I don't think the W204/205 would look good, that's why I didn't do my W204. The light smoke posted above looks superb.

Thanks for the pictures of the door handles too.
Something I was interested in as I have matte gray with the night pack so the chrome handles look a little out of place with all the other black trim.
