Dropped off the car at Don Nguyen's shop (sponsor here) as he does wraps and plasti dips plus other customizations. I felt that the white part between the rear glass and the pano had to go. Porsche did it right with my Turbo S having a similar part come from the factory in black but Don was able to fix that for me I also had the badges sprayed black with Plasti Dip; much easier and cheaper than buying a new set and reinstalling. We didn't have enough time to do the grill yet but that's next.
Weird. I kinda liked the oem badges on the white. Roof looks dope tho
Yeah I hear what you are saying as the pics are pretty focused up on the badges but I feel the silver badges get drowned out in the white moreso and the night styling is a good compliment.
Love the car, congrats! After looking at your pictures, I decided to get the KW HAS installed this week as well.
2 questions:
How is the OE tune running? Was it an off the shelf tune or was it a dyno tune?
What's exactly the name of the ceramic tint you went with? I have Hüper Optik 30% on my car but they are a little bit too reflective. I'm thinking about redoing the tints.
Looks excellent. I'm planning to order one just like yours, and will be deleting the white roof as well. I'm still not sure if I'm going to debadge or plastidip the badges like you've done.

The tune is running excellent (tuned around 300 miles or so on the odo)--- Its a shelf tune but a derivative of multiple dynos on the M177 engine to get the optimal results yet run safe. The car is so responsive, much moreso than stock, and its really fun to hit the throttle at 70mph and watch the HUD hit the 120+ so fast. I really love how much speed the M177 carries tuned and I expected no less since the M178 has been so fruitful (GTS).
The name of the brand of tint is LLumor but I dont know the model or option name within their ceramic range. I do know it was their most expensive option and the reflective qualities are very limited (which I like).

Looking good Vic, I agree on the roof it should have come black from factory. The badges stand out a lot more now that they are back.
Question regarding Plasti dip it may sound silly but will it peel off over time washing the car?
Also, are you painting the front grill or wrapping it?

So Ive Plasti dipped a lot of my badges lately... on the GTS part of the hood ornament started to wear off (no peel) and thats probably due to the lack of a flat surface as the badge itself has a lot of detail. The regular badges in the rear are fine as were my badges on my 458 and FF when I sold them (had for about 7 months with the Plasti on). So I would say that if you washed your car weekly but dabbed the badges to dry then it should last more than a year at least.
Im not sure if we are going to Plasti the front grill silver slats or wrap it but no paint for sure.
My 458 and FF had the badge dipped and it was great till the day I sold it- the horse also is not flat but curved and more 3 dimensional yet the solution held.

Looks great! I plan on doing the roof in black as well once mine arrives; I assume you had yours wrapped? Brand/Model of vinyl etc? Thanks in advance
Do you mind if I ask your affiliation with SPP? Owner or just dedicated supporter?
No hard feelings about the company FYI, I actually have used them previously for parts for my Audi's and had positive experiences all around. I'm just curious as I see the plates on all of your cars.

No affiliation other than a long term customer and friend of the owner (back to 2002). The plates look great so I leave them on the cars too
Sweet looking fleet! I recognize your handle from Rennlist!
Regarding plasti dip, is it necessary to remove badges to have them done or are they coated while on the car? I'm curious as I've ordered my Turbo S Cab with gloss black script on the rear and expect that plasti dip vs. Porsche Exclusive is a significantly LARGE delta!
