I haven't heard or read anything about car play on MY16/MY17 C classes in general. It was supposed to come but got cancelled in 2015. Its pretty lame of them and I think they're saving it for either next year or the facelift in 2019.

Yeah no kidding. I hope we can retrofit it. I wouldn't be so disappointed if my SA told me earlier.

It really comes down to what you're looking to use it for. For me, my #1 request would be throwing up Google Maps or Waze up on the COMAND screen, both of which aren't options on Carplay, as far as I know. I don't mind fiddling with my phone once or twice to open an app, and you can control music through the COMAND knob/touchpad and steering wheel. So that's a moot point. It sounds like there are other functions you'd be interested in; for me, not so much. But I'm all ears.
Also, don't think your magically gonna get a touch screen from Carplay. You'd have to swap out the COMAND screen for an aftermarket replacement (which exists) that'll allow you to use touchscreen functions. Otherwise, its for display purposes only... Fiddle with your phone, or fiddle with the steering wheel/COMAND wheel functions. Pick your poison. Phone's faster IMO.

Do all c63 ship with command? if so, you are out of luck as carplay in the c class was only compatable with audio 20 systems with or without the burmeister though. So you can have the upgraded stereo.
Essentially, if you have the base audio 20 head unit, you can just swap the head unit and code it, or buy an activation module that runs the script and you can have carplay. The head units are just so damn expensive its not worth it right now. Wait for a few people to wreck their cars and salvage the head units.

Looks like you do not have the multimedia package on your car. Even for the 2018+ models, Carplay is NOT available when you add the multimedia package. I'm curious if this will work for the Multimedia package.
