Having owned 3 new Mercs in last 7 years, there are always issues in the beginning. My dealer is really good. once resolved the cars have been excellent

Hey, gotta throw this out there. Maybe he asked the dealer to take off the "C" because he was having a problem paying 90 Grand for a "C" class. It was the only difficult part of buying my $90 plus Cab.

Too many
experience with cars can vary
I have owned over 50 cars the past 7 years including 4 MB" C63, E350, E63S, GLA 45" and they were solid . Lexus GS x2 were at the dealer all the time as well as several BMW. So we can't generalize all the time

It's really easy to pull off the 'C' when washing the car if your mit/towel gets caught under the top of bottom pointed edges. Don't ask me how I know....

I'm more confused by how crooked that AMG badge seems to be. Wonder if the car has had paint work done on the deck lid.

They all look that way depending on the angle of the photograph due to the curve in the trunk lid.

Car is fixed. Needed a new AC compressor and the rebadged the back. I kid of liked the "63s" badge instead of the C63s. Anyway it's all fixed now and we will see how it goes.

I'm not saying it has had paint work, but the dealer is under NO obligation to disclose paint work/damage etc that occurs prior to the car being sold (new). In fact, many cars arrive at the dealer with minor paint damage, and receive paintwork prior to be sold. In fact, some dealers go as far as to add stripes, pinstripes, and racing stripes as aftermarket dealer marketing/sales strategies.

Absolutely correct. I would look into the back of that car, missing/not applied correctly emblems, no way it left the factory in that condition.

My guess the 'c' just fell off and no one noticed, emblems are easy to put on and take off, the A/C issue is lot bigger

Damn that sucks!! When we got our C63S we got a flat literally 2 miles after leaving the dealership. Dealer was nice enough to cover the cost of replacement tire.

Car is back and everything is fine. No evidence of paint work and AC blows cold.
