Sorry forgot, it's a W205 C63 estate, never got anything like that before, no idea why, I wasn't pushing it I must admit but it was a combination of roads.

That's crazy. It converts to 6.5 L/100km. Best I have ever done was 9.9L/100km.
Did you coast downhill in sailboat mode for half of those 100 Miles?

Nope, didn't see the sailboat once, I was travelling to a meeting and had plenty of time, crusing down the motorway at 75ish after about 25 miles I decided to look at the mpg figure and it was in the low 30s which I thought was unusual as it was from a cold start and not zeroed as soon as got to cruising speed so I decided to see what I could get and was gobsmaked at the result, that was from door to door, never got anything like it before, I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it for myself.

He He, I've seen plenty of those, they're so common I've never bothered to take a pic.

So that is miles per imperial gal.??

The best I have seen is between 25-26 in comfort on the freeway at about 75 and letting it sail when it wants.
I also did about 1000 mile stretch on the back roads and interstate at 100 -120 mph and on the twistys for about 125 miles of that same trip in mostly 2-3-4 and high revs and had a amazing 20.5 mpg.
My usual town driving in S+ driving the way I like I get 12-15 mpg.

Yes it is, I tend to forget it's one of the few things that's bigger in the UK than the US.

I managed to get 30mpg once by driving like a grandmother on a motorway at 50mph but 37 is incredible. Mine couldn't do that falling off a cliff in sailing mode.

On the return journey I hammered it, overall 200 odd miles 30 of which was stop start, it did use more fuel but it still did 35.4, the only things I can think of is a good batch of petrol, Shell nitro, and hot weather.

My car is getting 102 Octane from day 1. 35mpg when "hammering" it is just implausible. When going down the Autobahn at a steady 80mph, my C63S gets 26mpg. When hammering it, I am always <10mpg .

Normally at a steady 80 over a distance it will do 30mpg, when I said 'hammering' I was driving within the road conditions on the motorway but sort of 85-90 and pretty much full boost on acceleration, when I showed the readout to the chap I was meeting, who is an historic race driver, he could not believe it and brought one of his colleagues over to have a look, I've owned the car for 10 months and never seen anything approaching it, I'm glad I took a photo of it or I wouldn't have believed it myself.

I've never gotten close to that. 27 max. That's with no traffic and feathering the gas trying to see how high I can get it to go. that's crazy. must have been coasting down in neutral for 100 miles with a tail wind on a slip and slide!

No nothing like that, standard M6 mid morning weekday motorway and A50 to Donnington, no coasting never saw the sail boat at anytime, I'm beginning to think it's a computer error although is showed 182 miles remaining in the tank which means almost 400 miles range and the fuel gauge verified that.

So you are from the UK? UK mpg is different from US mpg.

37.1 mpg (UK) equals 30.9 mpg (US) equals 7.6 l/100km
35 mpg (UK) equals 29.1 mpg (US) equals 8.1 l/100km
