I've seen those cyclists you talk about. I've ridden with many like that and got in arguments on the road about how they need to stop being douches. I've personally yelled out my car window at other riders many times as well.

That doesn't mean it's funny to joke about seriously harming someone because a small percentage of others are jerks. If you've seen an impact as described above in person (which I have), you'd understand the reasoning for my earlier response.
I've had friends killed on bikes.
It's not funny, but you cannot take life too seriously.
I have yelled at riders through my window and literally gotten yelled at back, as if it's my fault they are a douce.
And, I've been yelled at, but I'm accountable - if I 'f' up, I'll own it.
Bikers who are douches, tend to also be the same when they drive....

Come to Vegas - you'll be thankful you don't have to drive here.
Seriously - TXT'ing and driving, cutting across 4 lanes of traffic to make the exit, running red lights, etc.....
I see this multiple times a day, and I'm not even in my car daily - AND I WORK FROM HOME!!!!

LMAO!!!!

As someone said earlier, the criteria for totaling a car is based upon the ratio of the cost to fix the care compared to the total value of the car. Once you reach that repair cost threshold, the car is totaled.

Airbags are fairly expensive to replace, and what happens with a lot of cheaper cars is that the cost of the airbag can on it's own be enough to reach the cost threshold and total the car.
