Maintenance, Service and Prepaid Coverage

I've been searching for this info for the past couple of hours and haven't been able to nail this down.

Coming from BMW, service and maintenance was covered under standard factory warranty. If I needed an oil change, and it was under warranty, I just took it in and they took care of it. Same with new spark plugs, fluids, etc. They also took care of the brake pads and rotors. All for no charge at the scheduled intervals.

Does Mercedes offer this? I read a prepaid maintenance brochure online and it mentioned oil changes but I didn't see anything about "wear and tear" stuff like brake pads and rotors.

I'm looking to purchase a C63 S coupe and I'm trying to factor how much maintenance costs will be. Thanks

MB PPM only covers "required" items listed in maintenance manual. Mostly these are oil changes (Engine, Brake, Transmission, differential) and bunch of inspections. (All these can be done at half or less price by an indy/DIY.) These plans don't cover wear & tear parts such as Brake pads/rotors, though wiper blades are covered for some older (pre 2016) models. In US, PPM for first 4 yrs rune $1275 and can be had at an discount and needs to be purchased before the first service. For my GLC300, 3 & 4 yrs plan were 1250/1275. Buying online can save in taxes, while adding in a lease payment reduces cost as you only pay for depreciation during the lease (40-50% saving).

I don't think the PPM is worth it. I just take my car to a high quality speed shop (higher quality than mb stealership for sure) and they do the work better stronger faster for maybe 3/4 the price

I did a comparison and I could not see any savings buying the PPM plan and they have my money for 4 years and if I trade early I'm out.

The cost of PPM is negotiable. The only reason I purchased it, it because I had then throw in a free set of brakes and rotors. That by itself more than paid for it. It also covers the Rear Diff at 1850 miles which is a few hundred dollars.

Thanks for the info. Looks like brakes and rotors are going to be expensive...but you gotta pay to play.

One rotor for my W204 C63 w/ the AMG Performance package was $1250 from the dealer. Worse than that?
