MBWorld Fanatic!
Doesn't add that much power, from Stage 1, but sound is INSANE, especially with the ASR module 🤣
You'll need a tune to pass emissions, but plenty of people are running cattless DP's without a tune but with o2 sensor spacers

I get the gains. It appears SOUND is a big Factor in what people get these in addition to the increase in HP/TQ.
I have a stock exhaust for now as I just got the car. Does DP’s combined with a stock exhaust increase volume? How much?
are most people with PE just running these with their stock PE, or anyone Out there running aftermarket exhaust with these

All of my customers are running cat less down pipes with a stock muffler system since it is loud, no more sound increase is required.

I now have a EC Stage 2 Tune and AWE SwitchPath Exhaust (Track Version with ability to close valves to route exhaust through the Mufflers).
Im considering these for my 17 C63 AMG Sedan. I have a cat-less Vette and don’t want the smell, so it seems unpopular but I’d likely get HF Cats.
With my exhaust DP’s may be really loud? Maybe the catted version combined with ability to Close Valves May make this perfect as I can scream and when needed occasionally, I can close the flood gates.
Also so I assume the DP with HF Cats would be a little quieter than the non cat version? Although, not sure how much sound difference between the Cat/Cat-less.
Also, I’m a little confused and maybe this is a dumb question. Our cars have 2 sets of cats, and the exhaust I added is of course car-back.
When you change the Stock DP’s, are both sets of stock cats now gone? So if you go the HFC route, you will have just the 1 pair of hf cats. And if you go with Catless DP’s, you have NO Cats at all? Is that correct.
Any suggestions on Catless/HFC? And WHY? I know no cats = better flow. But, is there THAT much of a difference if performance, and sound?
i do not want the SMELL of no cats as I’ve been there and done that and not interested doing that on this car.

Yes it will be loud
They will 20% quieter than cat less
Yes both sets of cats are gone
Yes with HFC 2 primary cats, cat less no cats
Good HFC cost a lot hence a lot of people go cat less.
If you don't want the smell good quality HFC with the OBD2 certification is the way to go AKA GESI cats
